    What will it add to south east industries or do we just allow them to pump gas out of south east without benefiting our industrial zone but going to other areas of Nigeria to grow their economies at our own expense?.

  • @ariseshinebright8845

    • @les_crow

      This is not how you build countries. Why don't you let the regions, states, and local governments take care of themselves? There will never be such a time that the different parts of Nigeria will ever feel satisfied with what they are getting from the FGN. Such unity doesn't exist. Move the power down and let them handle their business themselves. The FGN cannot love them more than they love themselves, cannot dedicate itself to their causes more than they can for themselves, and cannot get as much work done nationwide as the millions of people can do for themselves. This IS not how you run a country. Even so-called unitary homogenous nations are not this centralised.

    Hmmm! Did I just hear all located in South Eastern Nigeria? If true, and I have no reason to doubt the veracity of this information, it will taken together with other federal projects in the South East, undoubtedly go a long way in cementing Nigerien unity by promoting a sense of belonging in all regions of the country particularly the South East that has been complaining of marginalization by the federal government. Whether real or perceived, no region should feel neglected or marginalized in the sharing and distribution of economic and political benefits in the nation. Kudos to the FGN!

  • @tunxlaw
    @tunxlaw Před 4 dny

    Imagine that successive governments had taken Donald duke's vision seriously and Cross river state had enjoyed 25 years of unhindered progress. by now you people would have been accusing Donald duke of state capture and all other nonsense. You prefer it this way so enjoy it.

    Ilove the development happening at Abuja now ...how I wish this wind of infrastructural wave will blow across the nation..either regionally of state-wide..its good. However lets invest more on drivers of productivity including Rial, Power, Manufacturing and Agriculture..including massive Industrial, security and medical facility development

    Captital income from tourism alone should be enough to sustain and keep this facility running even if the government of the day decides to renovate/remodel this beautiful site to generate income for the state, but insecurity in the North is a major discouragement for tourist. All the state governments in Nigeria should forget about investing in the tourism sector until federal government deal with insecurity. Nigeria is on red alert in almost all the Western countries.

This place should also be on the list of the Minister of Tourism to Help and Promote. And hopefully the fast Construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway would encorage the Governor to do something.

    The lost of oil wells to Akwa Ibom and Bakassi meant that Cross River State could no longer have the capital to sustain this project which was at its budding stage. His Excellency Donald Duke could have seek a political solution with president Obasanjo at the time particularly to the Bakassi issue
