iFlight Nazgul Eco (DC5 with DJI O3 Air Unit or XL5 with analog) Best FPV drone for the money? 🤔
The Nazgul DC5 Eco is a capable cinematic or freestyle FPV drone - the tune is smooth, plenty of power to rip or lift a GoPro, and it flies amazing, as I would expect from an iFlight BNF. At this price point (~$420 for the DC5 with DJI O3 Air Unit and ~$220 for XL5 with analog) it's one of the best value drone in FPV today.... what do you think 🤔

I have a question, can I buy the pavopico20 with the betafpv LiteRadio 3 pro and the VR03 fpv goggles?
What size shocks are you running with your teraflex shackles? I just swapped out my stock 70mm front and 90mm rear shocks for 90mm & 110mm shocks. I'm waiting for my red leaf springs and my teraflexes to arrive and get them installed before I decide if I need leaf spring lift blocks.
Great re-view man nice looking quad
Thanks a lot my friend, really appreciate your feedback. Can't go wrong with the Eco, it's like buying the parts and getting the labor for free 👍
Thanks for the video. I wanted to buy them for me, and still had questions. Video came on time
Really glad to hear that, you can't go wrong with this one, price out the components and you're basically getting an flight built and tuned quad for the cost of the parts 👍
👍
Hey there my friend, nice to see you here, thanks a lot for your support!
Im building a ultralight 5" long range drone with 2004 1800kv motors, do you think I could use a 4s Liion battery or should keep using 6s? Thanks a lot and congrats for the amazing content
Thanks a lot for your feedback! You could use 4s lions for endurance flights but it will be very sluggish with 1800kv motors, especially at the end of the flight when the battery voltage is lower. I would recommend 6s, they will be a little heavy but they should give you some nice long flights times with a more reasonable mount of power. I think my Croc5 was flying for ~17minutes on these 6s 3000mah lion batteries with an 1800kv equivalent (4s motors with motors output limit)...
I've been flying my Pavo 20 for 20 days now, and it's really a lot of fun! It's a small drone but packs a punch. With a 550mAh battery, I get about 4.5-5 minutes of flight time. I'm really loving this little guy. Thak you for review
That's great to hear, thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I agree that it's a super fun little quad, what I really like about it is that I can fly this drone where I can't fly bigger, louder quads...
Lipos with ET2.0 connectors are hard to find. Can I use lipos with GNB27 connectors? Is it possible to use lipos with GNB27 without having to replace the ET2.0 connector on the drone?
Hello! Yes, ET2.0 connectors are made to be compatible with GNB27 connectors. However, I did notice that between brands there is slight variation in tolerances and so they can be difficult to remove, but they will work. I am using different brands of GNB27 lipos with that Eachine charger, which has ET2.0 plugs, and they work fine, just a bit snug but usable.

Hello! Do you think this frame is ideal for a beginner building his first drone or is this more for senior fpv?
Hey! This frame would be a good beginner build because it comes with clear instructions but that rear assembly and soldering the battery lead is a little complicated. If you are looking to build up your first 5" drone, I HIGHLY recommend the Bardwell beginner kit. It's based on the same frame (QAVS2) and the video build series that accompanies it is invaluable, JB will walk you through the process step by step and you will avoid many of the pitfalls we all fall into during our first build... check it out 👉 bit.ly/JB_Digital

bought the Pavo pico, every time I fly it the stock propellers shred apart lol hoping new props fix that
Sorry to hear that, I've had pretty good luck with the stock propellers and I've flown over water and places I wouldn't want a prop to go flying, but I do think you need to have some extras on hand because with those push-on props, once they've been removed a few times they will come loose, and also, if they are even the slightest bit bent, the quad will shake and your footage won't be smooth. Try fresh props and let me know how it goes!
Pavo break shit QC at beta wasted 200😡😠🌏🌍🌎🎮🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
I had a cinelog 35 quad but unfortunately it sank a month ago along with a 4 day old Gopro Hero10 :=( I really liked it because it was strong and quiet. I also tried a v2 cinelog35, which is very powerful, but also very loud. I'm thinking about a Pavo too. How loud is this quad compared to a cinelog? I appreciate your work! Thank you
Oh man, that's too bad you lost your quad with a GoPro on it, it pains me to say it but that's happened to me twice, once with a DJI O3 quad that clipped a branch over water, and once with a 7" long range with an older GoPro... ouch 😩 I also have a CL35 and this quad is quieter than a CL I think because of the duct design, but it's still loud. It makes a different noise, more of a whoosh than a scream. I prefer the way the Pavo35 flies with these new Lava motors, it's more efficient and flies longer...
@@colibrifpv Ugh, that's really rough! Unfortunately, we have to prepare for this in this hobby :( I didn't have a GPS installed, it doesn't happen anymore. I have a Pavo20 on the way and I really like the Pavo35. Thank you for the information about the quad, it helped me a lot in my decision!
Detailed and enjoyable review, thank you!

Oh, interesting - yours came with a normal antenna. Mine came with a wire antenna for ELRS. Having a ton of fun with it so far!
Hey there Daniel, actually that little red wire for the ELRS antenna is built into the AIO board so I have it too, the blue antenna you are noticing is the BetaFPV 900mhz antenna for the crossfire RX 😉
Another brilliant review, many thanks @colibrifpv 😍😍

Just bought the 7" version, two parts are missing (left and right rear base mounts), but the overall quality is stunning!
I had my eye on the 7", seems like this frame would be a perfect match for larger props with that xt60 moved off of the top plate making space for massive batteries. That's too bad that you had missing parts! You should definitely reach out to GetFPV support, I'm sure they will get you taken care of...
Nice
Thanks my friend! It's lots of work but lots of fun also!
Flew 4 packs with mine then upgraded to the 03 air unit and gps, im a fan of geprc but this thing has given me grief from day 1 with the camera quality, fc and esc. Its good now but theres not much left of the original set up. Just unlucky this time i guess.
That's too bad, thanks for sharing your experience. I also have a very high opinion of GEPRC BNF quads, the ones I've owned have always come with a fantastic tune unlike other brands. Although with this budget Mark4, I think they cut corners in order to mass produce these things at a lower cost. Hopefully it doesn't impact their reputation for quality...
Are the Goggles 2 are compatible with the Mavic Pro 3?
Hey there, thanks for watching! Yes, the Magic Pro 3 can be linked to the DJI Goggles 2 and the Goggles Integra.
@@colibrifpv Thanks for replying. Sadly the goggles remove access to the screen which means I can't access Intelligent Modes, change zooms etc. during flight. I can't understand DJI for doing this. The Mavic Pro 2 worked amazingly with the original white googles, I doesn't make sense to remove that experience. Ridiculous.
Excellent drone, flies amazingly, although I changed the camera to a foxeer toothless
That's good to know, thanks for sharing your experience. I put a Walksnail system in mine and I love it!
As someone who started FPV 1.5 years ago with a DJI potato and quickly got into building with the O3 air unit, I am oddly fascinated with analog FPV. It started when I built racers with analog VTXs and, of course the video is terrible compared to the digital systems, but it's not that terrible. Like I can still see where I'm going. Don't get me wrong, the VAST majority of my fleet sport O3AUs with a few vistas sprinkled in for low light capabilities, but for some reason, I keep buying analog components and tinkering with them to try to get the best video possible. Maybe it's the latency that I enjoy so much, idk. I can't really explain it, but I just got a Maten and I can't wait to pair it with the ratel pro and the Phoenix 2 and see how it does. And of course compare it to the 1.6w offerings from iflight and TBS. 😀
That's great to hear that you can put analog gear to good use, I guess it is the "golden age" of analog because now we are getting super high powered analog systems and good quality cameras at a price that is very accessible. Enjoy that Maten VTX, I found that mine was able to maintain that high output power during long flights with my Mark4 7" using li-ion packs...
Nice!! Is possible to take out the micro sd card with a tweezers?
Hey thanks for watching! We'll not really, I had to remover screws, lower the Air Unit, THEN use tweezers. It's totally doable, but it is a thing with this drone...
I don't see enough difference between the Gopro and the O3 to merit the $400 purchase. Thanks for the video
@@BuckFPV In ideal lighting conditions, the difference is minimal. When lighting isn't great you do see more of a difference, but it's still not night and day...
will this pavo fly with the dji googles 2 as well??
Yes it will, assuming you use the DJI O3 Air Unit, which is compatible with the Goggles 2
I had a lot of jitter. Thightening the Screws of the camera helped. I had also an issue with the DIY naked gopro mount, there was some play because the screws were too big. Also added some washers there and now it is flying so nice!
That's great to know, thanks for sharing your experience! I had the same issue with this mount, and the lumenier Johnny FPV frame, which uses the same system. The mounts are too soft, but adding some m2 washers tightened things up 👍
Thank you
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
I am looking to buy a DJI fpv, as someone who has never flown a FPV and has no preference, which one do you recommend
Hey there, that's awesome that your thinking of getting into FPV! I recommend first buying a decent radio, like the Radiomaster Boxer, then practice with it on the simulator. After you feel comfortable, get a tiny whoop and have fun! After you feel comfortable with that, get yourself something bigger and more capable. Trust me, take your time and you'll have fun and avoid costly mistakes 👍😁
Could I just change the frame of my cinelog 20 for this one ? Thanks
I can't see why not, but you may need to extend those motors wires, this frame is much wider, even though it is a 2". Also, if you already have a CL20, was it a BNF from GEPRC? If so, maybe just keep it and build one of these from scratch with larger motors? I only suggest it because GEPRC's tune is usually so good it would be a shame to waste it...
My pavo 35 has a flutter sound on throttle up with running a gopro 12 on it
That doesn't sounds right, maybe you have a bad motor or ESC? Have you tried playing with the tune?
Awesome video! Have you had any issues with jello?
Hey! No I really haven't, almost none at all, but I do usually run a GoPro on mine and I think the weight of the action camera helps the rubber dampeners to be more effective. What small amount of Jello I do get disappears after I apply Gyroflow...
I just love you!! Classic music is life! I can work better, think better, and be grateful for life
I did the same thing to my diatone taycan, worrlllddd of difference. Better flight time, better speed, better cornering, cooler motors. And looks better. Try swapping from props in to props out, or vice versa. That helped my tune a lot. Mine just does better props in. I use the HQ 3" 4 blade old school props. The 3.1" t mount.
That's good to know, thanks for sharing your experience. These cinewhoops have really evolved, I definitely like how it flies without the ducts much better, less noise and better handling, especially in wind...
what's the remote control are you using for flying this thing?
@@banghans7803 Hey! It's a TBS Tango 2 😁
It seems very stable. Did you experience any drift?
It is incredibly stable in the air (for a tiny whoop) due to being lightweight and having larger props, but any tiny whoop will drift a little bit, you need constant stick inputs just to keep them in one place.
Does the battery come whit the drone?
Hey 👋 No, batteries do not come with the drone, in FPV you usually have to buy everything separately...
If you are just getting started, check out the Aquila16 Kit from BetaFPV, it comes with everything you need!
How about doing " Super scientific " test about the new antena 💀💀
That's a great idea, thanks for the suggestion.
My 3.5in is at 290g with battery. I still believe 1000g is a better number but FAa will never do it. Or 1000g for hobbies and 250 for business. I am so close to 250 I am changing my motors but will still be 10g over 250g
I totally agree with you, 250g is such an arbitrary number! I can do sub 250g for the sake of doing it, but my 6s setup (over 250) is so much better 😁
C How do I get videos from the o3 unit to my phone
The easiest way is to first offload to your computer, but if you have an android phone with an sd card slot, you can pop the memory card into your sd card slot.
You have a full parts list for the camera and antenna and a good possible motor and esc?
