ΤΟS the best star trek ever!

I hate that people have compared it to Lord of the Rings. Both are groundbreaking but in very different ways. LOTR is set in a world far removed by our world, whilst Dune is the future and therefor has a human history. And history repeates itself as we all know. That is why I always prefer Dune. It is still grounded on our reality as we know it, no magic but a possible evolution of mankind. That is why I always prefer sci-fi over fantasy.

To make a second season now ? it was too long ago. the actors are totally different now. but i could imagine a well made animated series what would pick up where season 1 ended, and ignoring the movie, would the story unleash in a slower pace.

There was a tv show called Ghost Busters by Filmation in the 1970s. It was a live action show that was a comedy. There were 2 guys and a gorilla named Tracey. In the mid 80s Filmation did an animated version of it.

It would be difficult to explain to my millennial children the impact Ghostbusters had when it hit in 1984. It was Ghostbusters everywhere and everything was Ghostbusters. Everywhere you looked you saw the symbol. It was nuts. And the movie was awesome for a 12 year old boy like I was in 1984.

No sequel with out Rickman sorry. Although I do believe galaxy quest paved the way for Seth McFarlands show the Orville, which I’m sad has not returned for more episodes. Was so good.

Proud to have seen it during its first release to theaters. Blew me away. No, I don’t want a sequel. Especially not without Alan Rickman. It’s a standalone wonder of a movie, and should just be loved as the phenom it is.

Personally. I'm only a fan of the original 4 series (original through voyager). I love them all dearly, and yet I've not watched a minute of any of the other series. I understand I'm now old and curmudgeonly.

I'm wondering now how this affects totally talentless wazzocks who type a few words into AI creators like chatgpt and ask them to write a scifi novel. Just like every AI site out there, they use those words to steal the work of others-be it art, photo, video or written word. We are now seeing "novels" sold on Amazon that have had no human interaction or creativty from their "authors" other than the few words typed into AI sites like "write me a scifi alien novel based on Stephen King's tommyknockers" which then plaugerises said book to write the AI written one.

Afterlife worked because Jason Reitman wanted to carry on from the original to Ghostbusters movies. He wanted to put an end to it and doing what they did with Egon being dead and making him a ghost and having his grandchildren, find his stuff and then find the car and then become Ghostbusters ourselves it just fit and everything seem to be right for it, but frozen Empire was too much going on, it was way too many different characters and it was just way too much piled up in one little movie and because of that they didn’t even have that much with the major villain that they made. The ghost girl thing was just completely retarded. Never did you see a ghost in any of the other movies and it was just stupid and they made the whole thing about you know Phoebe and it just it was boring. The only time you got to see Trevor was him messing with slimer. SMH

I don’t understand why everyone has so much hate for the female Ghostbusters movie. 😮 the man Paul fieg did not want to copycat off the original Ghostbusters movies. He didn’t want to make a Ghostbusters three. Because he did not want to disrespect the franchise. I am wanted to create something that had nothing to do with the original movies. He wanted to make a whole different original Ghostbusters movie. That’s why the proton packs were different. The Echo wasn’t a Cadillac. It was a hearse. The firehouse wasn’t a firehouse. It was a Chinese restaurant. Everything was different. I thought it was great for what they did with it. I thought Kristen Wiig was hilarious and so was Melissa McCarthy And Chad Hemsworth. Here’s a thought if the movie was supposed to be so terrible then Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson would have never agreed to do anything and would have nothing to do with it at all if they thought it was a disgrace to what they previously have done.

I'm not that keen on the newest movie, watched it last night and found myself bored and don't find it funny. Think it's got a bit silly with the kids being in it, I mean the original was silly but it was adult comedy silly, the newest one is just meh .. I did enjoy the first one of the new sequel though.

The Second GB cartoon eXtreme Ghostbusters had Egon teaching and his very small class becomes new 2nd generation GB. The model was right there and you skipped it. GB

Not only is TNG the greatest Star Trek series, but it's arguably the greatest television show ever made!

The soundtracks of the first two Ghostbuster movies were both childhood favorites of mine, featuring Oingo Boingo, Fine Young Cannibals, two insanely catchy Bobby Brown songs, "I Can Wait Forever," the iconic theme music, and others. We had the first one on record, and the second on cassette, and both were a treat.

I would rate Star Trek shows: 1) DS9 2) Enterprise Everything else. Amazing that $32 Million was raised to save the show and it wasn't successful..... only in a world prior to Netflix. Damn....

With the Orville filling in the gap and now we not getting anymore of Mr Seth Macfarlane version of Star Trek other universe's, I would love for there to be a sequel to this awesome film

Many people (including Dan Akroyd himself) consider the 2009 Video game as ghostbusters 3. 53:32 He said that but to this day he still refuses to admit that he made an absolute stinker that was an affront to the franchise and it's fans. Dang, i am 40. I don't think i ever heard of this but honestly it was a movie rental place that introduced me to this movie. I can't stop watching it. For me, ot ks one of those perfect movies.

I love the '84 version as well as the current iteration. It's similar to my relationship with The Shining novel vs. movie. I love them independently from each other and in different ways.

Moonves is ultimately why DSC was such a horrible series, and why fan-films for Star Trek have been knee-capped with new Gregorian rules after he sued Axanar productions for BS reasons. Thank Darwin we have SNW, PDY, and LRD that have none of Moonve's cent on them, but his claws tainted DSC to the core.

STA should NOT be set in the DSC universe or in the extreme future where Disco ended. The STA, if Paramount REALLY wants to make it, should begin in the TOS era under the new SNW vision. If they do this under the DSC vision, it will horribly flop as bad as everything from DSC has flopped. I've actually wanted to see what a Star Trek Acadamy show would be like since the late 90s when we had an actual game called "Star Trek Academy". It was a GREAT game. Unfortunately, if this is targeting Disco era and the 31st century, I don't believe this will catch people the way they think it will. Star Trek has ALWAYS been diverse, and I have no doubt a show like this could work, but making this under the umbrella of DSC is a recipe for disaster.
