I had a moment like this once. Upon being reinforced I had 4 Hulks come at me in short order. I had no support weapon and all my Stratagems were on cooldown. I took down all 4, only to be finally taken out as a 5th one came at me and I had already run out of Stims.

They don't have to worry about covers as much as grounded bots since they're shooting from the air. I always spare some smoke bomb, eagle smoke or orbital smoke for these, once you have smoked area big enough, they slowly turn into "not seeing you" state and may give up on you. Or...paired HMG (you're using it) with smoke, you can attempt to shoot at the engines to lessen the amount of gunship is always the priority.....below the factory strider. It's always the times getting ragdolled that you're slow down~ Another thing in HD2 games is all cooking attacks (from bugs) or bots' rocket barrages are actually pre-calculated to 'where the target (you) would be by the time attack/rocket reach the distance+target's movespeed' than just shooting at your position and be done, so it's not recommended to run in a straight line once you see enemies like these. And Pelican will wait for an additional 2 or 3 seconds when there's a diver 2 or 5-meter away from the carrier's entrance, despite the fact that the UI countdown is already at 0.
