Bose Garage is a CZcams channel run by two brothers, Aswin Harish and Aditya Bose. Mechanical Engineers by profession and Automobile Enthusiasts by passion.
We intent to share the knowledge that we acquired through hands on restoration and periodic maintenance activities done on our vehicles, in a way that will be helpful for fellow enthusiasts.
We will be doing maintenance videos on Mahindra Jeeps, HM Ambassador, Yamaha RX 100/135, Yamaha RD350, Jawa/Yezdi, Toyota Qualis, Kinetic Honda, Honda Activa/Unicorn, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Maruti Gypsy/Zen/800/Swift Dzire and Hyundai Santro.
At present we are doing strip down restoration of our Premier Padmini 137D and Bajaj Chetak 12V Electronic. The entire restoration journey will be featured in our channel and we will ensure that genuine information which will be helpful for fellow enthusiasts will be shared in each of our videos.

Hi.. is this carb identical to one present in Esteem 1998 Carb model?
@@rahulsinghdirectorevergrow3409 Yes the carb is identical to that on an Esteem but the jet sizes are different. This carb is similar to the one used in Isuzu 4ZB1 1817cc engine that was used in Ambassador and Contessa.

Hello bro i saw ur video and just made tunning of my zen carburetor from my mechanic and the problem is after cleaning and tuning there is so much of white smoke with smell so i am worried abt it before the tuning process there was no such complaint😢
Hello brother. Seems the tuning was not done properly or there is some other issue with the engine. The procedure for tuning the carburetor that is explained in the video is as per the Suzuki service manual.
But the mechanic said the tuning is made properly and he told me to run the car for 1 week and just check whether smoke is coming or not. And the car seems to be running like missing and is it true to wait for 1 week
@@harshith_j If the tuning is done properly then there shouldn’t be any issue of missing while running. Did he connect all the vacuum tubes properly?
@@bosegarageno brother he didn't remove the vaccum pipes he just removed the throttle and cleaned the air jet, slow speed jet and sprayed the cleaner to the openings
@@harshith_j Brother the carburetor needs to be dismantled completely for a proper clean up. All the gaskets and orings needs to be changed. The tuning needs to be done when the engine is at operating temperature. Try to adjust the air screw to 1.5 turns open position and see if the smoke is reduced.

Hello brother... Please check and replace all the fuel hoses. Most of them might have dried up due to ageing. You may not see any visible cracks or leaks when the vehicle is idle. The fuel starts seeping put from dried up areas when the fuel pump is running. The smell is more at slow speeds as the fuel takes time to evaporate compared to higher speeds.

I was working in Indonesia at that time so I got help from my colleagues to buy directly from the dealership. The shops over there won't ship items to India. Only counter sale is there.

I bought it directly from Indonesia a couple of years ago. It was around 4000~4500 INR that time for the original carb.
I've always wondered - a typical car carb is so much much more complex than let's say an RD350 carb. Same with the engine, or the gearbox, or just about anything there in that engine bay. Yet most cars run so much reliably and give very little trouble over their lifetime as compared to a typical RD350 or a comparable 2-stroke performance machine. A friend of mine used a fiat for years without a single complaint ever from its points ignition while I was busy every other day pushing my 350 to the garage lol

Yes it is a direct fit on Indian RX135. For a proper conversion to RX King Spec you need to change the below items 1. RX King Head 2. RX King Cylinder kit 3. RX King Carburetor 4. RX King Exhaust 5. RX King magnet and coils 6. RX King CDI, Rectifier, ignition coil etc

Yes it can be done. But the hydraulic press saves time and we can install the bushes easily without any damage.

Detailed Video👍👍 Waiting for the next part. One thing is also to be mentioned. There is a 4 spring mechanism inside the riveted part of the counter wheel to suppress the impulses from the crank shaft and transmission box. It is better to be checked if the engine run more than 1 lakh kms. There are chances for losing its tension. Later there are chances for the formation rattling sound from it and breaking of that springs. Our chethak also experienced this issue and later needed to dismantle again.
Thanks brother. Yes I am aware of that issue and has sourced the required parts. Will explain it in detail during the assembling process. Our scooter has done only a genuine 68000km and had sealed engine. But I have decided to replace it to avoid surprises later on as you have experienced.

How much bhp can be increased from these cylinder
A complete conversion to King spec will land you up at around 18 bhp @ 9000rpm. That is around 4 bhp more than an Indian RX135 5 speed. But please note that an Indian RX135 5 speed will develop 14 bhp @ 7500rpm. The King cylinder will perform only at a higher rpm and hence low end torque won't be there.
