Vibrato for Whitefish

Here is how I like to work the Vibrato when fishing for whitefish! Remember to change up your cadence, incorporate pauses, tap bottom, do slow lifts, rip to attract, short snap to imitate a dead minnow, keep on bottom and flop the vibrato from side to side, there's so many options, just play with it and find what works for you! Every whitefish is different! Just because you catch one on one cad...

Nice video! Just wanted to ask what kind of boat you have? Hoping to make a purchase in the near future and wondering how much boat I need to handle Simcoe. Thanks!
2014 Lund 1675 crossover xs
How deep were you fishing
Around 100FOW, the depth varied throughout the day
Nice work!! Your Mom looked so happy. Kemp bay?
She definitely was! Near BBP
I tried going fishing on mother's Day IT DIDN'T WORK.
Hahahah maybe next year???
@@InformativeAngling hahaha hope so.
Amazing, great video!
Thank you!
Some amazing laker fishing for sure. Thanks!
I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Awesome video, guys. I am very familiar with this river system location. I am getting my vintage StarCraft ready to get on the river as i prefer casting and jigging to trolling for walleye. I enjoy watching this video and i will definitely search your other videos for more insights and informative pointers to boating more fish. Thanks guys. 👍
I am glad you enjoyed the video and hope you learnt something new! Thank you for tuning in and goodluck out there!
If you ever fish for them at night do you have any colour recommendations?
I always use black or glow when night fishing. Black contrasts best with the night sky.
@@InformativeAngling Thanks I will give those colours a try on the walleye opener this weekend.
Awesome video very informative what would u say your biggest Perchcame on the megga B.A.S.S. has nose shad was out there yesterday still good fishing
The megabass hazedong shad is a great bait, but I would say my largest fish come on the magz micro goby, small crappie tubes, or super tiny curly tails. You would be surprised at how many big fish I have caught on the tiniest baits in my tackle arsenal.
And thank you for the feedback John, I appreciate that!
Amazing fish! I want to go with my son this Friday but am not sure exactly where to go. We'd be East side of the lake but are fairly flexible. We're coming down from Bancroft area. Any tips on general location?
Georgina island area is a community hole, look for the boats if you dont have the fancy electronics and you should do well! They will likely be moved up into the shallower water as temps continue to rise
@@InformativeAngling Thanks bud. Great video - new sub! 👍I've got a Helix, which should help.
@@GospelTestimony thank you buddy! Goodluck out there, im sure you’ll do great. And remember, not all big fish like big baits, dont forget to try the small stuff, I find the biggest perch will hit the smallest bait in your tackle bag!
@@InformativeAngling Anytime - great videos! I will bring a bunch of different sized and types of baits, but will definitely bring some smaller stuff as well! Those fish you got during the eclipse were awesome.
@@InformativeAngling Quick question - I noticed that Sibbald's Point has a public launch. Would I have to go far out to get on the Perch?
Great video! Keep em coming! Just subscribed!
Thank you and will do!!
Just another BS livescope video. Learn how to fish and maybe Ill watch.
You dont need livescope at all for this type of fishing, my whitefish opener video was just using a flasher. I really don't understand why people get so pressed, maybe they think blaming their failures on lack of livescope will make them feel better? Including livescope footage in my videos is just a way for the audience to get a better idea of what the fish is doing/how they are interacting with my presentation and honestly I could do this blind if I had to. If you're going to shit on livescope then you might as well shit on all electronics.
is that a crossover?
Yep its a 1675 crossover xs
@@InformativeAnglingdo you run with down riggers? if so, how have you mounted them?
I have them mounted to canon downrigger pedestals which attach to tracks on both sides
@@InformativeAnglingi have the same set up with the tracks and a backing plate but its still not a very stable. i was always wondering if the RyTec brackets are more stable good video on the whites too!
I dont do much downrigging, just for salmon on Lake O from time to time. So I cant speak on the specifics of downrigging setups, im more into casting and jigging! I do agree the stability could be better on the plates though, I have noticed that.
70 - 80 fow?
We were catching em in 50-65fow
Whitie will stay there at opener? Txs
@@muskyman3238 You will find them on mud flats near shoals during opener, they will be suspending a lot more as they will be feeding on mayflies which rise up in the water column from the mud and to the surface to hatch. The whitefish feed on them aggressively. Just scan deep shoals and the area around them and you will find them.
Smashfest! Nice work 🙌
Thank you Callum!
