Over the years I learnt just replace the blades with new by sharpening them you make the blades off balance and it start messing up the spindles after a while not right away but you get what I’m saying if you been doing it for awhile

The instructions are terrible and the video is worse. There are a lot of additional adjustments that have to be made so that it will fit correctly.

Haven’t watched this whole video but right off the bat how the hell would a bent blade moving in circular motion gouge a straight line as you travel forward wouldn’t it gouge a circle when you first turn the blades on without moving the mower forward?

I was just going to say I've got one. They're awesome mowers And I want to add to the phone holder. I put my phone in it every time I mow. It's the only place on the mower that I know it's not going to fall out of and I mow some pretty steep hills also mow some pasture that is extremely rough and bumpy and it has never bounced out or even come close. It's the perfect size and deep enough to hold your phone without an issue, but other than that the mower is just it'll do anything you want to do

I’ve put 3 new blades on mine, also had all 3 spindles replaced and still doing that to my yard

You can balance a blade on the wall with a 16 penny nail Straight into a stud or you can put a bolt thru a small square plate or wood and mount the blade to the bolt and measure the distance top and bottom to see if blade is bent 2 or 3 bucks or you can buy expensive unit as well

This seems strange.

My riding mower is set to the highest setting yet it cuts grass too short. Any idea? Everything appears to be installed correctly, and the tires have enough pressure.

I'm getting this with my mower. I even got brand new blades and it's still doing it. I can't figure it out. Also seems like my right blade is ever so slightly lower than my center blade. They all have the same spacers.

Sharpening blades has nothing to do with a UN-even grass cut. Either your deck was plugged up with grass or your deck was not level in according to specks.

Just finished installing one on my z421. Your video was a huge help. The only mod I did was to enlarge the hole for the safety switch.

More out of balance than a bent blade.

Having had a Craftsman 1000 kholer for many years and still running but it's time to upgrade. After lots of CZcams and Google and physical researching I went to a FERRIS Dealership TOPS. In my area Harlingen TX according to them nobody has any 42" or 48" available not even the warehouse, they'll have to be made and it'll take around 2 to 6 months to a year. 8-5 Hrs of operation and they're always jammed with people needing service but they don't can't help anybody. TERRIBLE customer service so just imagine trying to get parts or maintenance. Stopped at a KUBOTA and customer service was fast attentive huge store and fully stocked organized plus they have many Kubota locations everywhere. 4 year warranty too. Bought the KUBOTA 42" Z232 Kawasaki zero turn with free delivery next day. Very happy with SERVICE and feel confident about continuing business with Kubota and will be buying more from them .

We just got one second hand. $5500 at 180 hours on the gauge. First ever zero turn and I'm so excited for this evening. The little testing I did felt amazing. Especially considering our other mowing machine is an 05-06 Kubota garden tractor that's starting to show its age something fierce. We've had it over 10 years. The mower on it wobbles under it and the engine has to be jumped sometimes because it just doesn't even try to start.

Bolting crap on any zero turn is a losing proposition. Always gets in the way of going around and up to trees, it rusts, the bolts rattle and come loose nope.

I have one. Only thing I don't like is it does not have a throttle/trigger lock.

That's a awful lot of stress on the front of the mower.

If your blade is bent, what do you do with it? Can it be fixed or is it time to buy a brand new blade?

My blade in the middle is is about 3mm above the other two and I get that same little stripe like you showed

You need to adust your detacher, so that both front and reae tines are touching the grass at rhw aame time/ level.

You could make a shield with light gauge steel to cover up the deck rise and lower mechanism under neath. I just got one for my Mother and they told me to push the deck lift foot pedal and take some tension off the deck before adjusting the dial raise and lower knob. Maybe try that before turning the knob!

I never mow when it's even a little wet. I know if you do it for a business, you need to, but for people just mowing their lawns, don't mow when it's wet? Unless you live in England, you should have plenty of dry days to mow and not worry about the deck getting gunked up.

Never sharpen your lawn mower blades razor sharp sharpen them at a 30° angle and the edge of the blade should be 25,000 radius.... The first quarter inch of your blade does most of the cutting... Make sure your deck is level from side to side in the front should dip down a quarter inch lower than the rear... That's The Sweet spot...😊
