Thank you for a solid review, really cleared up anything I wasn't sure about and help me make a more informed decision. Then I checked the video upload date and it was 2 hours ago! Everytime I see a video on a European Disco and I wish we got the Diesel versions instead of the troublesome v8. The oilburner Discovery might have saved Land Rover's reputation rather than sink it like the V8 did.

I have the US model is it worth it. I do have a factory motor i modded to not have the cylinder sleeves slip. New heavy duty hesdgaskrt custom made. Oil cooler. Heavy duty coils and wires yeah still in original location I opted to not relocate. Now for the tired stuff I did compete suspension in 2012 now 10 years old solid still surface rust but due to an illness I was unable to keep up with chassis rust prevention which was perfect til 2018 and wasn't done since so she's getting wrecked quick with new england salt and dirt driveway. Its the rear 1/4 but I had heard about galvanized aluminum which I only used for fish tanks that I built. If aluminum is used whats the strength and flexibility for collision improvement compared to the stiff factory one? And whats the current cost ballpark to put one on?

Rear door water ingress is either sunroof failing or more likely the rear door is mal-adjusted and there is a gap around the top. Also try not to swear so much, it means it's not suitable for the kids. For suggestions, take the time and effort to put good quality gear in oand on the vehicle, it makes a massive difference. Oh, and use it...

What's the drivabilty like with the 265 75 tyres I hear people say it feels sluggish also does it wffect your speedo much I'm getting aone 265 70 soon ??

I totally agree I have the same DF front bumper and I also have his rock sliders and the power coat just fell off a week after I fitted them. So just got both sand blasted and spray raptor coated so far so good. It a shame because he makes really nice stuff it’s just the finishing that lets it down. My D2 is a very similar set up to yours with out the rear sleeping area.

Is that a leaking exhaust manifold I can hear "chuffing"? Judging by the effort you put into the chassis, you've probably already sorted it by now but, if not, you'll be doing yourself a favour by looking at it ASAP. The manifolds only warp once so get yours milled flat and refit it rather than buying a replacement if it's warped. Big fan of the D2. I honestly think it's the best vehicle LR ever produced. Almost as simple and rugged as a Defender but a MUCH nicer vehicle to drive.

Hi what size of tire and rims on tour disco 2?

Just had a Richards galvanized chassis fitted to my disco better than scrapping these great cars
