Get that FILM LOOK for your photos: Dehancer for Lightroom Review
In my first video on Dehancer, I reviewed their DaVinci Resolve plugin. This time, we're looking at their plugin for Lightroom by choosing a couple of photos and editing them with their tool.
This was the first time I'd ever used this plugin for Lightroom, so you're getting my honest reaction to how its functions and what you get out of it.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Especially as someone who is not a photographer primarily.
If you find that you want to purchase one of Dehancer's plugins, make sure to use the promo code 'ZR10' to get 10% off your order: www.dehancer.com/shop/video/davinci_resolve

Easy DIY Build for Overhead Studio Lighting (Under $100!)
zhlédnutí 49Před 21 dnem
Trying to build a grid in my home studio to mount my film lights to the ceiling, and I figured I'd share my method. Next step for me is to do the same thing on the opposite side of the room. And then connect the two ends with more conduit pipe to make a square for me to mount from. Description for Bounce Light Video: A short one that turned very long because I thought my commentary was worth while. Apologies for the kids yelling in the background towards the end. Contrast Ratios: Cinematography Test

There's a handful of videos out there that break down the concept of contrast ratios. This is not one of them. In this video, I simply wanted to compare the variety of different contrast ratios and put them in a head to head comparison so we can all have a better sense of what a 8:1 vs 4:1 vs 2:1 is going to get you, etc. There are two scenarios in this test, and the primary difference between ...

    Great comparison! I've been using a latern setup for the softness and from your tests, I also like the fabric diffusion or bounce. But, a later seems like the easiest to setup for soft, wrap around lighting. Thanks for sharing bud!

    • @zachread1
      @zachread1 Před měsícem

      Sure thing. I think the lantern seems really good at just spitting light everywhere evenly and because of that you get some bounce from the environment which helps create a larger “source.” Glad you liked the comparison.

I think that a slow motion comparison (2x/3x/4x/5x) could be useful in different scenarios (walking, running stb.) and also a shutter speed comparison from slow to fast (1/6sec to 1/200sec) would be really useful as well. But only if you are interested! :) Keep up the good work!

    What were the intensity levels for each test? Wondering what kind of headroom there was on each light for these situations. For example was the F22c at 100% and the p300 at 75%?

    • @zachread1
      @zachread1 Před 2 měsíci

      I should've taken note. The Nova was obviously consistently brighter, but I don't have the exact figures since this test was to compare the quality of light emitted, rather than output. Maybe I'll try aim to do an output test with a handful of Aputure fixtures I own soon

      @@NoLensCap precisely. Which is consistent with the manufacturers photometric data on each figure. I think at 1m away, the P300c puts out 9000 lux while the F22c is about 6400 lux.

    • @zachread1
      @zachread1 Před 2 měsíci

      Beat you to it! I thought about marking down brightness. I should have. It was changing every time so that the exposure was consistent. The F22c was consistently brighter though to achieve the same exposure level to the P300c
