    The YourDyno valve (which we did not test here) can turn off the water completely when the engine is off or idling. The Dynomite valve which was used in the video is not completely sealing so some water will leak through at all times when the pump is on

  • @dovemfg
    @dovemfg Před 2 dny

    Does the absorber need to have water going through it at all times while the engine is running? Even when not doing a pull? Is the valve designed to let some water through when not testing? Thanks. I have the same absorber and valve I’m just trying to learn before I hook everything up.

  • @dovemfg

    When you program a rpm sweep does this tell the water control valve how much to open?

    • @YourDyno
      @YourDyno Před 6 dny

      Yes, it adjusts the valve such that the RPM follows the defined RPM sweep. There is a regulation loop that updates the valve position 20 times per second

    Zero offset or offsetting should also include the option of non zero setting, like for absolute pressure sensors, at the same time those absolute sensors should be offsetable to a main sensor, like some local ambient pressure sensor, this allows you to offset your imap, emap, fuel pressure etc etc to this known value and so they would all read the same.

    representing the few people who cannot read your mind, or just think in another way, and did not have the time to all read all the forum pages to find a solution. you calibrate the torque sensor whit an arm, the torque arm where you put the weigh on it has a length. the torque arm from your sensor to center from the brake has a length. the problem is not that i do not understand what you are doing but where you put 3 numbers is you have only 2 spaces. your equation has 4 inputs, and you are asking for only 2 inputs.

    • @YourDyno
      @YourDyno Před 24 dny

      There are several ways to calibrate the load cell. Here is my favorite: 1) Mount the calibration arm. 2) Zero calibrate with the calibration arm on. 3) Add the weight and click Load calibrate. 4) Remove the weight and the calibration arm. 5) Click zero calibrate again and click Save This way you don't need to think about the weight of the calibration arm. The numbers you enter are the calibration weight and the distance to the calibration weight. The distance to the load cell does not matter

    That is actually a magnetic powder clutch, as it has an input shaft and an output shaft. It provides variable coupling, not braking. A magnetic powder brake only has an input shaft, and only provides variable braking, the magnitude of braking torque determined by the applied voltage.

    One thought, if you have a2 roller-2wd nonlinked chassies dyno. To estimate tyreloss, couldnt you monitor speed on front vs backroller?. The tyre would deform on front rollers, but not* the rear. *=At least much less deformity.

    Dear Sir, I hope you will be fine and working well. We have water brake Dynamometer (Model: Omega 3200 S3, Capacity: 3200KW) of AVL. We are facing following problems in dynamometer during testing and commissioning (Max Load: 12000NM, Max RPM: 2100). 1)    Load stability at low rpm is very less than greater rpm. 2)    Normally load fluctuation is about ±20 NM and sometimes load fluctuates about ± 300NM. 3)    When applied load is nearest/above to 50% load then suddenly load rises about 5-7 KNM within second and dyno loses its control at load. 4)    When suddenly load rises about 5-7 KNM then we set dyno and engine in idle mode (Speed: 500RPM, Load: <=300NM) for safety. But in idle mode, sometimes load remains 3-5 KNM more than 1 minute until we increase the engine speed again up to 1300RPM. 5)    Water Outlet Temperature is crossing its limit above 60 degrees at its 45 % load even water inlet temperature is below 35 degrees. We need your guidance in this case and we will be grateful for your support. I am looking forward to your feedback.
