      @@anonperson4597 To control the pests (Crape Myrtle Aphids), we recommend one of three ways. However none of these will remove the sooty mold - jsut the pest causing the sooty mold. The black discoloration will go away as it drops it's leaves and regenerates growth in the spring. 1 - If it's late enough in fall and the temperatures are below 85-degrees, you can use Horticultural oil as a contact killer. 2 - If it's still the heat of season, use bifinthrin as the contact (quick control) and immidacloprid as a systemic (long-term) insecticide. 3 - If it's just before the first frost and it's about to lose it's leaves, wait until spring and use the bifinthrin/immidacloprid mixture so that it controls them in next years growing season, as the Crape Myrtle is going dormant soon.

      I appreciate your reply and agree this is one effective way to install them. However, I have seen many like this knocked over and/or moved by homeowners not knowing what they're there for. If you have a seasonal service plan to inspect the client's system and/or do a goof job informing the client what they're for - they work great. It's when the client doesn't know that creates issues.

    Obsevation w/ logical action are 💯 & neccessary! Lil observations like these WILL MAKE or BREAK the STRENGTH of ones domicile & its surrounding *area* in a variety of ways IF left unmaintained. Said area = massive acreage aka = communities. From manufactured home communities to city communities and county communities for that matter. As its not nust topside that we can see.. underneath it's all connected.... If untreated or unmaintained its gonna spread and, like most things, it's going to continue to grow. Boy, do I wish that I would have known that the trees' & plants condition is just a big reflection / of the the subterranean terrain. Please correct me if wrong cause you are professional and you seem to be on it and you don't live too far.... Sub tropical climate is interesting with having no winter to freeze things off... With that said, how I even got to you is ?? AKA I was speaking while screen recording The weekly round up of current events here in Florida that I do with my reflections on them and ended up just letting it roll for a moment because I had to scrape something off of my eyelash and other things that I don't know what is even going on. Sometimes it's like a coating of ooze. Almost sometimes that disappeared and I did just notice last night. Webbing all over my floor now. That carpet's getting ready to come out. But what is the webbing about? Which is how I found you. It took me to a webbing worm video, which ironically, but is it though not really? II already am aware that caribou's carpet moths. Possibly boring beatles or whatever amongst other species , bad worms for One are prevalent within my dwelling that I own.However I do not own The land It sits on Therefore it's not my duty to maintain.. None.Theless I only saw a few seconds of that video.And I can definitely relate to you saying you hadn't seen any mods.As you looked around on the ground I have.There may be multiple species of months and here.This place is an absolute disaster actually. I don't know how they legally.There is a civil class action suit actually against them in about eight others but not necessarily for non maintaining the land and grounds that we pay to rent ... Also I have a bunch of orange like fuzzball looking balls.They look like cheese puffs.What are those question mark and correct me?If i'm wrong about the trees basically just being a reflection of what's going on under the soil.... I'm at a loss for words. Almost or maybe not because I keep speaking. But I just recently found out that it's a well-known fact throughout this community. I have been in now for 15 years only by inheriting it. As it is a 55 plus community that both subterranean. Termite and the black dry with one's run rampant through this Park slash community . And if you don't mind is it fair to say that a carpet beatlewood?Yeah, I think so, from my experience and research end all this otherwise.I don't know what it is and I'd like to know, but is that what is in my hair?That lands in my eyelashes and gets stuck is the larva of them.I'm disgusting.I know nobody else wants to hear a word about it .... Thanks in advance ... Definitely have that webbing worm too.And I believe the click also only because of the sound and google and me researching that... Also would like to add.These things are microscopic so it takes a good fifteen years to notice..

      I'm wondering. If it is fungus related also because how does it just appear?It doesn't ever disappear unless I scrape it off.That was a type o above. Just seems to appear on my face and arm ground anywhelet's like a webbing of swords , almost these moths and their species are cool I guess when actual moths but getting to them that STAGE= MOTH / This is a lengthy cycle of a lot of nasty phases. Those carpet Beatles.Also I believe seven different phases... And I meant it is disgusting.Not I, but it's not the most fun topic to this is my best.At it would be too hard to open a original message up and try to get through it on a mobile phone .

    Why did you not go into what to do if the sensor is pointing up and not obstructed by anything over it, e.g., trees? You mentioned "wafers" inside the sensor housing that expand. How do you replace them, if you can. Mine looks "done." They are just gunk.

      Great question! If is pointing up and unobstructed, but not functional, I would recommend replacing the sensor completely. I've never replaced the wafers, as this generally is a sign the entire rain sensor needs replacement. It may be possible, but is not something I have experience with as it's more cost effective to replace the unit versus the cost of labor and parts with the chance it still doesn't operate.

Personally, I would wait until it's leaves are growing actively to ensure you aren't wasting product and effort.

    17 f equals minus 8 Celsius, that's freezing! I found my visit during July 2019 to be fairly similar to the summer humidity where I live in Queensland, Australia.

    The insecticides you suggest using are very bad for bees and pollinators and should only be used as last resort.

    maybe discus how imidacloprid will also make the pollen capable of killing any bee that visits the flower.

    I have flax lilies and mine are also overgrown into each other. Had no idea how cuting them as you have done would not simply kill the whole plant. Thanks so much for this demo. Wish me luck with me following what you have clearly demonstrated. Thanks guys!

      Magnolia are great, but Gardenias are too finicky in our area.

    Thanks for the info! I’ve been considering a Drake elm to plant 20 feet from my house for much-needed shade over here near Tallahassee. A local nursery carries a “bosque” elm - will that have the same problem? They also have River birch, but I’m wanting the fastest grower I can get.

      Sorry for the delayed reply, but I would go with the River Birch if I had my choice. I'm not as familiar with the bosque elm. I do love the Winged Elm though!

    Water if I has all 4 start times at 5:15 am what happens? Asking cause my water bill came out high

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      If you have all 4 start times set at the same time, it will run 4 times in a row, back to back to back. You only need one start time and to turn the other start times off if you dont want it running more than once.

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      Basically, it's internally running at 5:15 through the entire system, and then when it gets done thinking, "I was supposed to run a second time at 5:15 as well, so now I will run the second start time now. " Then, doing the same for the 3rd and 4th start time.

    I used MicroLife Brown Patch that's organic. This should work, yes?

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      Im not familiar with that product - but any fungicide labeled for large patch or brown patch should control the spread. However, it will come back next year as there is no cure for the soil.

    How often did you water? How long did you water??

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      IN our area we are restricted to 2 times per week (unless there are new plants or sod). We watered twice per week with about 20% more time added to the run times to ensure we were getting enough water to it effectively due to our dry spring season in North Florida.

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      I would add compost to your planting as you install the plugs - or if you're unrolling it like sod, you can topdress a quality soil for it to begin rooting to.

    If it looks like grass, then who cares?

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      It depends on the homeowner. Some care deeply and some just want it green. Everyone has their own preference in the lawn. Sometimes there are also human or pet allergies to certain weeds or grasses, even though they are green.

    please advice on how to get a crape myrtle back to a manageable height after reaching 20' tall ?

    • @themasterslawncare
      @themasterslawncare Před rokem

      That would be extremely difficult to do without really hacking it and having large cuts or knots afterward. I'm sorry there really isn't a great way to do that and avoid it looking "crape murdered" in my opinion.
