i confess to talking to this video game like it can hear me, as a form of comfort entertainment. i did this quest after new war, so i was talking mad shit about how he should know by now that the tenno, and sentients have no reason to fight each other with the orokin dead. fully leaning in to the ought-is-him with fan fic level lines like "this is exactly what they'd want us to be doing, practically the same thing you tried to talk erra out of." then, he said 1:55 , and we both shut up until the finale.

i have a theory that jordas was patched together by the corpus, out of ordis precepts they salvaged from ruined tenno crafts. similar name, similar appearance, similar personalities, and based on what we know of him before the golem, similar purpose. digital extremes got a stunning amount of interesting story-telling out of the incredibly common 'consciousness upload' theme in sci-fi. before i heard of cephalons, i think glados was the best example i knew of, and she's already nothing short of iconic.
