You should do a video on Boardwalk Empire. The show did a fantastic job of using clothes and color to show characters’ positions and emotions throughout the show. (Such as Jimmy wearing blue when feeling powerful and brown when feeling vulnerable, Nucky’s suit rotation getting smaller and darker as he gets deeper into crime & Gyp’s clothes projecting his insecurities). Plus it’s a really great show and the clothes look AMAZING.

Naaaaa Steve was okaish, but on season 3 he becomes insufferable, and I hated his insecurity on the suit thing, just accept you are not a provider in the conventional way and the fact your loving girlfriend wants to buy you a gift and can actually afford it, and if its that much of a problem, then rent a suit or ask a friend for one to borrow (which I believe Steve doesnt have any, since he stayed in Miranda’s coach for more than 3 weeks and he still had the audacity to start dating inmediatly after breaking up…..)

I agree with liking Marissa over Seth because I always thought Seth was self-centered, and everyone only hated Marissa because of double standards. Marissa was going through it the entire show, and I don't understand why people hate her.

I'm so glad that the series really changed the characters than how they are in the book. I loved that Charlotte was the hopeless romantic who got her happy ending. And I'm glad that Samantha was independent and true to herself; choosing to be with herself than being engulfed by a man (she sounded pathetic in the book). Sam had her moments too, but she always, always, knew how to make herself happy.

This is exactly what happens when the directors shift the show's theme to fit the alleged agenda of today's society without contemplating the cast's original characters. New characters were introduced in the hopes of padding the loss of Samantha - it didn't work. Miranda turned into a lost, weak frail person abandoning motherhood and wife to become a co-dependent, needy soul to Che; a characters that has no purpose in the series but to represent the angry LGBTQ? Charlotte decides that Harry, whose career by the way, makes it possible for her to live in luxurious Manhattan with a house in the Hamptons, should assume her duties to show him what "Women" do? So in reverse, let's have Charlotte spend 40-80 hours doing attorney work, stressing for court and legal briefs, only to come home and have Harry tell HER -- well, you're only doing a fraction what a real man would do? They are wealthy and a nanny isn't considered? - a nanny was there before and now Charlotte, along with her duck lips, is cringing on wanting the oppositie she always cried out for A ridiculous and short-lived plot line which doesn't empower women, but makes them look weak and nonconsistent IF the roles had been reversed to fit a fair "equality" stance to begin with. Carrie: Big dies and she reverts back to losing all the "wisdom" she apparently claims to have only to find herself reliving scenes irrelevant of her present status - stalking Natasha? For what? Trying to create a second magic with Aiden - again for what? The show would have been more relevant had she been robbed of her Manolo Blahniks again, but this time, by a man in a wheelchair her own age, wielding a cane! Simply put, her character didn't evolve thus resulting in storylines too immature for her to be still having. The entire show's theme changed to adapt to the Woke Culture, which seems to be an issue in today's entertainment industry. Either the characters are so radical that the storyline becomes blurred or the characters become "steroytyped" into objects the Woke Culture is trying so desparately to overcome and not portray in the first place. SATC should have stopped after the first movie - even the second one became borderline cringe and didn't produce a consistent position of the original storyline. Cattrall dodged a bullet on this by simply making a cameo appearance - oddly, her character remained the same...... just like that.

I was rewatching SATC and Girls simultaneously and did not realize Miranda’s sister was played by the same actress as Hannah’s mom omg!

The writers did a good job, and Charlotte actually loved Trey even though she of course was worried about the sex thing. They worked on it, it got better, but then the baby thing happende. Charlotte could not know this in advance. For Carrie to demand Charlotte's ring is insance. She could simply have sold some of her very expensive shoes.

Samantha is derogatory when it comes to Charlotte's dreams. Why is is always portrayed as being the other waty around.

Charlotte is the best character. The most realistic and actually also the kindest and most complex. And having just asminimum of ethic standards does not make you rigid or prude.

Could Aiden’s white knight syndrome frustrate and upset Carrie so much due to her being fatherless? I always felt Aiden took great care of her and it’s something I always accepted in my relationships. I wanted someone like Aiden to just pull everything together for me while Carrie, it practically triggers her fight or flight. I’ve had strong males in my life, my father and I’ve been with my partner for many years. Maybe that’s why she preferred Big over Aiden. Carrie prefers trying to be self sufficient until absolutely needing help. Big only stepped in when asked until the very end, and in the very end, she desperately needed the hand and to go home.

I hate that the show makes them all so pathetic. Steve's character is so poorly treated. Aiden is a bit too sensitive. Carrie...just all of it is too woke and sloppy. Thank goodness Kim Catrell was smart enough to stay out of this.

Carrie’s relationship with Aidan was a miscalculation on the side of the show. They made Aidan TOO likeable the first time. So when Carrie cheated on him, there was no way to forgive Carrie for the betrayal. He was the angel and Carrie was the undeniable and unforgivable villain. Her character and the show took a massive hit for what she did because Aidan was flawless. That’s the entire reason they brought him back. They needed to “humanize” Aidan. In other words, they needed to knock him down and introduce character flaws that hadn’t been there before. They needed the audience to hate Aidan a little, so Carrie could recover a bit. So suddenly, Aidan binges on KFC and needs his bulging stomach rubbed instead of going out with Carrie. Suddenly he’s yelling about deodorant and Rogaine. Suddenly he’s pressuring her into marriage because he’s jealous of Big. Suddenly he’s an obnoxious jerk who doesn’t respect Carrie’s boundaries, career, or space. Aidan was too perfect the first time. They literally only brought him back to turn him into a dick so Carrie could win back fan favor. Gross.

I am not planning to watch the new show. But they should have just have Samantha die from cancer (that has returned) and have the cast try to mourn and adjust to that. Instead of killing of Big. Maybe they thought Kim would change her mind?

Turned 30 this year and very much panicked lol 🙈 last few months of my 20s I had several breakdowns because I wasn’t where I thought I would be yet. But my 30th bday was beautiful. I took a solo trip to Portugal to reflect on the past decade and what I want this one to look like. I still want to make many changes in my life, and improve myself, mind, body, and soul. That said, I’m also learning to count my blessings, live in the moment, and ride the waves of life. ❤
