Look into your own to find out who was doing the hunting for slaves, and selling them to the Europeans. African slaves were commodities to other Africans and profited from it the same way Europeans did when they bought them.

So e.g. The Masai have to pay now? They were one of the most successful slave hunters and traders in all of Africa. Also the richest man ever alive was an African big in Slave trade. Maybe ask his family. Europeans just bought the goods offered to them. They did not bring Slavery to Africa. Also the Arabs did it earlier, castrated them so there will be no African children and continued after the West already stopped. go ask the Arabs for reparations they will tell you what the west is to woke to tell you.

Easy. We deduct what we gave on development money and with fund raisers and generally all the mountains of free cash we sent down there since. Also all material we gave, all the building tools and machinery and so on and on an on. All the buildings we errected there for free. All the roads, wells and tunnels we buildt there. In the end Africa will have to pay the rest of the world compensation. The stolen artifacts? Yes. Give them back. Then let them watch one by one dissapear without a trace beceause they got sold or stolen. Best way to deprave you from your own history. Lets do it. Today.

How can we demand reparations for slavery when we ourselves played the key part in the slave trade. Who went to war against neighboring nations captured their people and sold them as slaves? It was us, our kings and our rulers... If anything we should pay reparations for every single person of African descent in the Americas whose descendants suffered unimaginable suffering, trauma, racism, discrimination, humiliation and genocide. Africans played the key role in the slave trade. We were the ones who capture and sold other African people to Western nations. We wiped our entire nations of African people and sold the survivors into slavery. In fact the only reason why the slave trade ended was because Western nations themselves told us they didn't want any more slaves to the utter and complete disappointment and disgust of African kings who built great fortunes and empires on the back of slave trade and the weapons and goods they got from Western powers through it. I read the letters and correspondence between these kings and the Western slave traders. It's beyond repulsive how they portrayed their utter disappointment at the news they wouldn't be able to sell other fellow Africans as slaves anymore. We as Africans must address our role in the slave trade. The hands of our Ancestors are soaked in the blood of millions and millions of other Africans. We cannot escape the truth in order to be honest with ourselves. We must be honest with ourselves. The slave trade also played a major role in the destitute way Africa finds itself today. It affects how people of African descent are seen even today. It paved the way for colonization as entire regions were depopulated and were easy pickings for Western Imperialists. It's was the ultimate catastrophe. A catastrophe that is going to take another 100 to 150 years for us to fully recover.
