These light holders are classic table lamps with an E27 socket without lampshades.🙂But I only use them for these videos, because they have plastic sockets and not ceramic. I didn't change them, because i don't normally use these table lamps for HID. I use a reflector for HID, to which i also connected cables, that have L, N and also PE wires with 1.5 mm². These table lamps only have cables with two wires (L, N) with only 0.75 mm².

I have this "Excellence" version too, but with the base G12 and it's a great lamp.🙂

True, i love all this things.🙂I love every type of High Pressure Sodium, Metal Halide, or Mercury Vapor lamp.🙂And also, i love to "build" CCG (Magnetic Ballasts) and I won't miss either ECG.🙂

I am glad, that even though it is from China, it produces a very nice light according to what you write, and i firmly believe, that it will serve you well enough. By the way, what's the color rendering? And you're right. This borosilicate glass is also used, for example, by Mercury Vapor lamps with a quartz burner, and even if they are clear (without a layer of phosphorus) they are fine, except that without phosphorus they have a lower Ra. However, I personally thought, that borosilicate glass without a UV filter transmits part of the UV spectrum, which, in addition to destroying polymer bonds in plastics, aging of colors, etc., can also be unsuitable for the eyes with frequent use, and therefore the UV filter. So thanks for letting me know.:-)

I agree, these High Pressure Sodium lamps cause little light pollution, so at night we can see the beautiful stars better than using LEDs with a higher color temperature, and they also do not emit unwanted "blue" light (like LEDs) that have adverse effects on our eyes... And they produce classic "orange" light, which is especially pleasant in winter, when snow falls, on which this light sparkles.🙂

@@nagualshidcollection the only adverse effects know at least to my knowledge is eye strain. According to webmed "blue light messes with your body's ability to prepare for sleep because it blocks a hormone called melatonin that makes you sleepy". Sleep foundation supports the argument with"exposure to blue light in the hours leading up to bedtime can hinder sleep". Absolutely agreeing on the ligh pollution. Astrophotography and astronomy filters could easily filter sodium vapor light, but less so LED lights. It unfortunately hides the true beauty of nature and according Wikipedia, 81 percent of people live under light pollution. It's incredibly sad, and something high pressure or eaven better low pressure sodium lights can solve. Since sodium vapor lamps are yellow, they attract far less bugs wich leads to less deaths of vital food sources for ecosystems. Efficiency is the only thing that sort of holds it back, but on eBay a LPS is rated with A+++. Should be pretty good. I'm not sure about high powered LEDs efficiency.

True. This Metal Halide lamp has more lumens at the same watts than same tubular HPS lamp from also Osram (VIALOX NAV-T 70 W SUPER 4Y) and better color rendering with same service lifetime. But you never have only 2000K with this MH lamp and this is (for me) a pity, because i love that "orange" light from HPS lamps. HPS lamps are irreplaceable in this thing... And it annoys me, that they are being replaced by stupid LED lamps, which have many disadvantages.

@@nagualshidcollection Yep, I also have some sentiment to orange HPS light, I like much light from HPS above 150W, usually ceramic MHs up to 250W have higher light output than same wattage HPS or very similar

@@AsXSn So you are my person. But i have HID lamps only from 70W to 150W. Because i use them in my livingroom. And yes, they are very bright for home lighting, but i love them and i believe, that you understand me.🙂Because when you just love HID lamps and you already know "something" about them, so you know that too, how use them safely and no LED lamp can replace them... Also a very high-quality LED lamp is worse in many ways than, for example, high-quality Metal Halide lamp.

100% consent to the change of public lighting. Most LED lamps (specially with higher Kelvin value produce a lot of light pollution and also lot of "blue" light, which is very bad for our eyes, sleep and also for nature... But for example HPS lamps, they do not produce any "blue" light like LED lamps, and also they produce very little light pollution, so you can see beautiful stars in the sky. HPS lamps are more friendly to nature and health and also, they have mostly longer service lifetime.🙂

Every coin has two sides, but yes, this is true in several things... 1. HPS lamps have only about 2000 Kelvin (this is better, when you can see the stars on the sky, because 2000 K produce very little light pollution), 2. HPS lamps are only from glass, metal, internal burner and some from them have also the internal ignitor. All this things have long service lifetime. But LEDs have lot of things, which they can go broke... SMD or COB chips and another parts. 3. LEDs literally kill insects and 4. LEDs have BLUE LIGHT, which is very bad for the eyes and so on. Yes, in this world exist LEDs with reduced blue light now, but nevertheless. So yes, the HPS win.
