why is mine tripping the breaker?
You keep saying wood. This is not wood. It's either laminate or LVP. The thin layer on top of the flooring is not wood. It's some sort of composite material.
Awesome! Just what I was looking for.
Great work, great result. Functional and affordable!! One thing though, please be safer next time by not standing ontop of the ladder, so dad and son can enjoy each other a long time...plus your creation.
Do you need j channel along house ?
Best line: "the cuts don't have to be very accurate, but they should be better than this"... as the bus tires roll over Dad. Definitely some unconventional handling of the circular saw by Dad. I assume he has solid dismemberment coverage. No safety glasses or dust mask and holds the saw guard open... nice! At least the old man put on some hearing protection part way through! I can empathize with Dad though.... I do everything trial and error style too. Why use the ugly panels? There are so much more attractive options. I'm going to use Pro-Rib panels from Menards. Again, I'm amazed that Dad is installing them all by himself. Maybe he doesn't let Son use power tools. Did I miss the dimensions of the deck? The width would be very helpful. It looks like 12 foot. I'm nervous about getting the purlin spacers right. Overall, solid video, but watch others for "pro" tips. Unfortunately, the thing is ugly and didn't have to be.
Thank you! Very helpful!
How has the corners holding up on the stair nose 3 years later?
you didnt flash your ledger board, if you dump water right at the edge of your house/deck - water will drain down - hit your first purlin - and splash into your ledger board, under your siding and rot your wall - happened to me
Mine is coming from the freezer
Funnily enough, the red heads (anti-short bushings) are not code required. They are recommended, though. As an electrician, if you don't use them, I'd call you a hack, lol. The bend radius of that MC is pretty extreme. I'd have just gone into the back of the box or drilled a bigger hole and used a 90°. Placing the box directly alongside the hole. Honestly, if you are not a professional. Leave a disclaimer saying you don't really know what you are doing so you dont put other people at risk. It's good to see Father Son projects otherwise. Be safe.
This video game me hope as my engineered floor does not offer stair nose trims. Are you able to share the dimensions of each piece for the bull nose?
Should have tied a knot so the cord does not pull out from the inside. But still a great video
Great tutorial. Thank you so much. I only have one question: Is nothing happening with the third contact, the MB? Shouldn't any cables go there? Only positive and negative?
Next time you may want to do something other than send a screw into the "spacer" piece of 2x4 into end grain like that. Picture an axe splitting a piece of firewood. It splits along the grain. Those spacers will split along the grain where you've driven the screws (just like driving an axe into it) and leave them in 2 pieces, essentially unattached. There is really no structural integrity there, and that's what is holding everything up. Also there is limited screw holding power in end grain. Good luck.
You are amazing. I love it. I am not super good with verbal direction especially with the US mesurment system. So your step by step video direction are great. Glad I come across this video
lights wired into a plug box what's wrong with this picture?
Step up module se volts milte hain at the cost of Amps.... So, in my perception, it will work with a slightly higher amps charger or battery.
👍🏾
Your video helped me clear my drain! 👍🙏🏻 Thanks
I can't wait to see more
I did something similar, but mounted the gutter first. There was a 3/4" propane pipe along the house already, so I made sure the gutter on the oppose side was several inches lower. Then I built 1x2 ladder-like frames to bridge between the pipe and the gutter with metal pipe clamps on the ends that can 'hook' over the pipe and gutter. The ladders support each panel. I just laid the frames in place and laid the panels on top (no fasteners into frames through the PVC panels). The closure strips that match the panel curves help to keep the panels in place, but I do have to reset the endmost one after wind storms! They do overlap the neighbor panels. The panels and frames can be taken down to clean them, but I haven't bothered yet after several years here in the Puget Sound. We use a rain chain instead of a downspout, which can be a bit splashy...but I pressure was the deck and the edges of the patio that will get damp and mossy over the winter. If we get a heavy rain, there can be some water get through along the house, but the house eves keep it dry most of the time. I am planning to replicate this system on the other half of the deck, but will likely use a gutter along the house and the deck beam and that should help catch water that gets through along the house. Thanks for sharing your process...I wanted to see how others were avoiding the commercial systems, so this is one alternative! Cheers!
Megustan los utensilios pero por favor toda explicación que cea en español grasias
After work? You mean old work?
how the "expansion" affect the hardwood floor if you glued every wood? does only expand the edge of the hardwood floor? expand as a whole or by sections
Thank you. Rehabbing a Townhome to Sale .
So your telling me you just plug that too the wall how you convert it from 110v down to 18v😮
Good work but mine won’t run

Great job...

But why a cordless use power supply but a corded one is used without a power supply?
It's good, but you lose a complete cupboard

Perfect! I love the little details - use a vice, (got an old one from my father-in-law) use blue tape for hole depth. I want to do this under my first-floor deck which is over dirt in my sloped backyard. I want to store garden tools under the deck and keep them dry in winter. Although the title is Dad&Son, I only saw Dad working. I will keep this in mind as I want to ask my daughter to help me. I'm 64, and a bit weaker than I was 4 years ago due to cancer treatment but I know that with a helper, and your detailed video, I can tackle this job! It's raining in San Francisco now, but I will at least take measurements and make a supply list.
i have a drill the battery is dead and i want to fix it like u by cable, mine is 20v 1.3 amp.how can i do it?
Sir tell me what is the number of bearings please
Nicely done ❤
Just one thing to note--some older ceilings contain asbestos, and cutting it *will* release it into the air!
Do you have to level the floor if it’s concrete?
Ty for the video friend! Was very informative and very helpful 💯❤️ ty again 😁
Say you’re a DIYer without saying you’re a DIYer …lol
This was a well done video thanks!
How's the Under-decking holding up ?
Would like to know about your tortilla maker is it available for sale now
Well done
warping wire and taping is ok for testing , but final solution should be soldered or crimped , and a knot should have been tied on lead before it came out of drill for strain relief
That's called soffit. I'm a concrete guy BTW
Can you post your cut dimensions? For a 172” diagonal screen what was your height and width? How big was your bezel?
172" diagonal can be calculated, the most general ratio for widescreen viewing is 16:9. If you know Pythagoras' theorem you know that the triangle is 3,4,5, or in this case 9 (3^2), 16 (4^2), 25 (5^2). Easiest way is take 172, divide it by 5, times it by 4, that's the length. For the height, take 172, divide by 5, times by 3 and you get your rough dimensions for the screen
