How wide did you cut your planks?
@mspahn1967 I tried to explain it at 5:35 they were just under 4" to account for the balde width of lost material and not having alot of scrap.
very pretty! Thank you for the tips!
Love the end results. Nice to see the family gets involved.
What about the o2 sensors.? Does it cause a check engine light to come on if they are not plug in?
@@charlesmaxey9165 O2 sensors are post manifold. Before and after the cat. I didn't have to unplug them. But if you do, them yes you will get an engine light.
you could of did the final coat so much easier if you used a roller. sometimes they say not to but get a one that you can
@briandeluca6908 yeah I seriously considered it but didn't want to risk having to sand a gloopy top coat. Brushing it on wasn't that bad of a gig with the pole brush.
The only video that actually answered my question. Thx stranger. I'll never see you again but I'll always remember our time together and how to get a boot outta an engine.
Can u make it out of a paint ball tank I'll donate one if needed
Thanks for nothing
Worked perfectly on a 2012 Corolla after so much unnecessary pain!! Thank you!
Santa is not real? Wtf!
Don't forget, ANYTIME you take a tire off you want to check the lug nuts with a torque wrench after 50 or 60 miles. That goes for ANY vehicle!
My husband and I did plywood flooring at our ranch in the country. So many people said we were crazy.. they have been installed seven years ago and they look fantastic. I love the natural wear and tear here and there because it’s a country environment, so it really fits in.
Awesome.
Thank you.
Fantastic solution and looks really beautiful and country
Good video I’m about to do the same
AND, if you use too thick of wire, it creates too much resistance and won't do the job as needed. THOUGH, realistically, you'd have to use something like HEAVY DUTY extension cord gauge wire for that to be a real issue. Going from a 14 to a 12 wouldn't be a thickness difference in the correct direction, or increasing it to a 10 wouldn't greatly affect resistance, either. Edit: I assumed that was the issue. REALLY jerk move on Hunter's part to not include optimal down rods. Since I bought a $200 HUNTER fan, that had the CHEETAH on it and it's not moving ANY AIR and I did use the longer of two down-rods in the box, and NOTHING. SO... will go to lowes and buy a longer one. Will have to do it in the Family Room as well.
Larger wires have less resistance. And current would not affect AC motor speed, it is directly related to phase.
Amazing man!
The junkyards arouns me dont allow jacks or anything that cuts 😂 unless i got confused by your title and this is at your house
Installed at my house feom parts pulled from the junkyard. This type of lift is colloquially called a "junkyard lift"
Absolutely stunning!
Thanks Kristie !
Love the old Simpson!
Nothing beats an old analog meter.
I am unsure of the year I have. I believe it is a 1986 from the research I have done. It’s a 125, would the year matter and can I do the opposite you did and put one off a 85 hp on my 125
Yes. Both work. The blue ones I put on were from a 125 parts motor I bought
Great video. Floor looks great.
Sweet project. I would have used a roller to finish, but other than that it looks amazing.
That might have been quicker, I was following the directions on the can. With all of the hard work i had into it at that point, I didn't want to mess it up.
Nice Job, Ryan. And I saw it in person! 😁😁
Beautiful!
I love this idea!!! Before I do it to my house how is it holding up?
2 years in. 3 kids 3 dogs. Holding up better than expected. I wish I would of used more glue in some spots. There are a few boards that are loose I need to pry up and re glue.
Where’d you get the mounting brackets at?
I made them out of scrap I had laying around. Bent it and drilled and tapped it.
i just bought all the parts at home depot total cost was $198.36. does not include the fabric that i got a walmart for $6and some change per yard. so its about the sane as buying one online. however if your doing van life or have smaller space needs smaller beds then this is the way to go. i used a hacksaw so it was hard to make a clean cut through but they still worked att the same. great video and great instructions
WOW, PVC prices have really gone up did ypu use 1" PVC or something bigger? I'm glad it worked out for you though.
The price of PVC has increased post Covid, but than again what hasn’t? Awesome for creating the perfect length and height and still remaining light weight. I created a van bed build that straddles the front passenger seat in its fully reclined position using 1-1/4” pvc. This setup has legs on each end, no support leg in the middle. To increase the strength of pvc, I inserted wooden staircase hand rails that fit perfectly inside the 1-1/4” pvc pipe. Just a tip, if you need to strengthen up your pvc a little. Thanks for creating this video!!
this is wrong on so many level and extremely dangerous
How much preasure teh oksigen?
I was using 110 psi.
@@redneckryan thank you 👍👍👍👍👍
I have nearly the exact same wall (same kitchen layout too) and was thinking of different ways to hang my cast iron there. I really like to horizontal boards! What did you use to hang the skillets? Nail, screw, etc? Obviously they are fairly heavy and i dont want them falling onto someone below.
Definitely redneck….😂
Outstanding craftsmanship You show offs 😜
Great video! Looks great! How is it holding up (scratches, dings, etc.)? What kind of wood is the plywood? What is the plywood thickness? How do you keep dirt from getting into the cracks in between the boards? If you spill water or a drink on the floor, how do you prevent the water from seeping in between the cracks between the boards? Won't the water go in between and underneath the boards and ruin your OSB underlayment? Thanks, so much.
That's sanded plywood 1/4 , 3/8 or 15/32 i used 15/32. you don't have to worry about crack or spilled water the urethane takes care of that. Just keep the all the planks EXACTLY the same width and butted tightly together. put at least four thin coats of urethane letting it completely dry between coats. no problems, 2 years and 2 kids spilling everything you can think of.
I just came across a fb video of plywood flooring today 1.18.24, and thought let me see what you tube has. I absolutely love your design choice in colors and how well you've explained the steps. I think I've finally found my floors. We've been walking on painted concrete for 2 years. It's worked and we've got alot of compliments on it but I always knew it was my temporary choice.
Awesome! Good luck. Should be way easier on concrete than the subfloor I have. Use lots of glue!
I am considering this flooring for my concrete basement floors. What prep would you do on the concrete floors? My concrete floors are in my basement.. do I seal the floor first or put down sub flooring?
There's caulk all over the cracks 😂
You missed her stud compliment entirely 😭😭😭
Yeah when I'm in the middle of a project I'm oblivious to everything else. It's a joke in our house. I always notice funny things the family says while I'm editing.
Nice, how did it hold up/ ride?
No regrets Andy.
The kiss of approval 💑
Wiring ? Its a^$#@< just to plug it in
Thanks , I'll do the same 😊
Good luck
What we did for a massive window taking full sun in the afternoon was to hang a shade outside, suspended from the rain gutter, about 6" away from the wall. It acted as a heat sink, no more baked wall and window.
lll X get your mind out the gutter 😂
Good idea however I would consider the longevity of plywood as the surface finish laminate is probably 2 mm thick this is the only downside of this idea which immediately sprang to mind, the possibility of a hard varnish top coat would help overcome this weakness......still 10 out of 10 for effort 🇬🇧💪🇬🇧💪🇬🇧
Still looks great after 2 years. I think it will hold up alot better than some of the wood laminate products on the market and most of those boast 20 years. Cheers.
Yea, stuck how?? Wtf
The trailer brakes were stuck on. They were not letting the wheels spin. I do not have a brake controller. I had 2 options, either unplug the trailer and tow without lights, or pull the fuses powering the brake circuit.
I needed this. I have an old house with 27 large windows. To replace tall these windows would be over 15,000.00
Where do you live? I’d dream of a $15,000 quote of 27 windows
I have a question if you would help me, I have seen several vids on this and I wanna know what width did you use for the plywood? I figured I could get away with 3/8 possibly but you did such an awesome job I would love any pointers. I am obsessed with your work here and you have inspired me to do exactly what you have done in this video. I bought a fixer upper 2300 SF home that needs a lot of work and this is a very cost-effective way of putting new flooring in compared to faux flooring. I am doing this all the way through except bedrooms (New carpet going in those). Thank you for the vid and response!
. I think the stuff I got was marked. 32" so alittle over 1/4 a little under 3/8
@@redneckryan Thank you for your reply! I was looking at Home Depot the other day and another video I saw they used 3/4" and I thought there is not reason to spend all the extra money nor do I need flooring that thick, so thank you much for the info. I am sanding down Southern Yellow Pine ( I have a 2300+ SF house to cover) so I am making due with cheaper plywood, and learned if I first sand it with a 100 grit then apply a coat of sanding sealer, then sand with a finer grit, I can stain it with the stains ( I just had to copy you on the colors LOL- BEAUTIFUL, then apply appropriately the polyurethane for flooring coats, it should turn out just fine. Keep the awesome vids up! Thanks again from Kory in Texas :)
