I think the most beautiful thing a woman can wear is her smile, if she need to put on a ton of make up it just tells the world that she want to be something she isn't. If it is because someone else told her she is ugly, or she just think that herself, we can't know. Still, it's a mask and an escape from reality, and makes it harder for others to see the real person, at least until they get to know them more personally. I am happy that you got that experience in Brazil and that you now think better about yourself, 加油!

Meaning we accept reality …as for me I am nearing the end my journey and can see that we all are the same issues in like no matter where we live . We all have a fear being judged no matter where we are located . I really liked your honesty and sincerity and wish you the very best . You deserve it in my opinion . Thanks for the information it was very interesting Kind Regards Dave

Great video! It kinda soothes me down to hear that it is a common challenge amongst learners. Though I know over 1500 words in Chinese it still doesn't help me to understand natives in real time. For me the biggest reason is due to the homophones everything sounds the same and my ear is not trained enough on processing short Chinese sounds quick enough. It is a slow process and the 听力 only improves slowly. So the only tip is as you said: continues exposure. It can only get better and not worse if we only stay consistent. We should not give up!

Thank you very much for your video ☺. I begin to have enough vocabulary to speak a bit with chinese natives, but i only understand if they give shorts answers. If they say too much things/too long answers or too complex answers, i cant understand yet. I think it s a matter of vocabulary and learning pronunciation of this vocabulary.

I started learning Chinese because when I traveled to China last month, none of the store employees understood English at all. Daiさん、御苦労様です。 Daiさんがよく頑張りました。 モチベーションの説明が特に気に入っています。 私のポルトガル語の勉強が始まったばかりですので、Daiさんのポルトガル語の体験がすごく面白いと思います。 これからもDaiさんは日本語の勉強を頑張ってください。 Although I have gotten to a very comfortable in Japanese (and your reasons for learning it are great!), I have struggled in other languages (one of those being 普通话) because I haven’t had an urgency to learn. Therefore, I liked hearing your advice for motivating ourselves. And I think I have found that with Brazilian Portuguese. Even though I’m still debating how much study time to devote to other Asian languages because I plan to study Portuguese very hard, I would still like to study those Asian languages because I connect very well with people who speak those languages. As someone who has bounced around the idea in his head of starting a YT channel, your suggestion for doing it in the target language is excellent. Even if it’s a very bad video, I can at least upload one Japanese language video a week. As another CZcamsr has said in one of her videos, “Make your mistakes when no one else is watching!” I look forward to your future videos! 再见!

With Mandarin it's interesting because one day you are learning tones and pinyin. The next day you can comprehend Hsk 1 learning content. Before you know it you can listen to online radio from China and then songs start making sense. Great excersize for the mind and especially memory. Everything can be done if you give it time and dedication.

"Because Chinese is so different from most Western languages" ... except Irish 😄 ... and Turkish 😮 there are roots from ancient China/Xia there! Mandarin is so diverse, like how English, Spanish, Arab... have all become so diverse. Still a lot of 'native-indigenous Mandarin' speakers in China's central and northern plains... and in Beijing.
