Welcome to Spectrum Vivaria!
I have created this channel in the hopes of sharing knowledge, inspiring and showcasing what is possible in the space of vivarium creation for animals in captivity...and much more!
My main focus has been reptiles and their management in captivity, including the construction of naturalistic vivariums. I draw from years of experience both keeping my own animals and working in the zoo keeping industry.
I believe I have a lot to give in terms of presenting what I have learned and what plans I have for the future. We are always growing, and I look forward to also sharing those experiences with all of you.

Challenging my TREE MONITORS | WHACK-A-ROACH, SPIN THE BOTTLE + more!
Watch as I create and test challenges for my Blue Tree Monitors to solve! Providing challenges like these for my reptiles stimulates the animals to exhibit a number of interesting behaviors. Animal enrichment is an important element to the ethical and successful keeping of animals in captivity. I encourage all animal keepers to implement enrichment strategies appropriate to the species they are keeping.

Your building video inspired me to build one to, 2.20 meters wide x 1.43 meters deep and 1.25 meters high. Love your videos ❤ I build it so that I can take it apart if I want to move.
What live plants you got in there and what Substrate you using for green tree monitor
Are those real plants what type of sfuff did you add bottom of enclosure to keep moist and humility
Freakin epic
Dude are you making more vids? I neeeed more 😍
That poor dog wasn't allowed to use any power tools! He asked so nicely but was rejected. 🤣🤣🤣
CaSandra Davila says Yes Please
I had a tegu that would nuzzle that door open fast. Great background.
Where did you go my friend.. I wonder
oh my god watching them stick their little hands into the whack a roach was so goddamn cute
This video is great I basically followed your instructions here and made mine like how you did yours. Wouldn’t have been able to make mine without your vid. Struggling big time with my rock wall now getting it to look as good as yours lol
Awesome I'll be build one soon, thanks for all the idea's.
An amaizin job well done mate
Congratulations you created a environment where your animals can hide and be kept mostly wild and unhandlable
this is one of those comments where i can't tell if you're just ignorant or old and stupid. I'm assuming it's some combination of both.
Bro I love your videos. Somebody family showed everything. How to make one I am starting a busincustom tanks. For all animals. You are the only one I saw so far. That has a good return. Keep up the good work, but I'm the same one always learning, thank you.
Love what you did, i did this a few years back with a lot of my enclosures, i used black as underground and dry painted it with grey, so you get more nuance and shadow!
I hope all is well❤
For what it’s worth I thought the tree trunk showed promise
what thickness did you use for the garden wire?
how are you anchoring your live plants?
Thinking of doing a similar project … excellent job … thanks for uploading
Iv decided to give this a ago. But I'm not sure on the latex base drylok masonry waterproofer. I can only find what we have in the UK United Kingdom is flexypol waterproofer. Is that any ood still. Anyone from the UK no which exactly one I need. Cos I can't seem to find it.
Bravo. Je suis admiratif 👏👍🍾🎉
What kind of Lamps did you put inside with which Watt ? We are just building a similar enclosure like yours :)
Incredible build! Found it very inspiring, thank you!
Phenomenal work!
When I die I hope I become a lizard you own
was it stinky? what about a respirator?
Love this, thank you so much! Please create more content!
Amazing build!
I didn't know AquaMan made terrariums 💯 GREAT JOB, man well done!!! I've made several using this method. Great vid!
Next time for carving flat foam board sharpen a metal spoon it will make digging easier
14:19 I'd put a nice foam pillow in there with a cotton pillow case that has the end tied off. My mangrove monitor knows better than to defecate where it sleeps. I watched this video many times, love the ambiance.
I would love to see an update video on this enclosure!
That is awesome
Can i scren shot?
How well does it keep the humidity in? I'm looking to build some out of wood and people are telling me it will not hold in humidity
Smart thinking about elevator measurements and doorways!
Awesome job!!! What kind of pigment do you use for Drylock??
Boom🎉 my head exploded. Love your movie. Keep going😊
The wood finish was kinda a bad choice but otherwise superb. I think the natural wood looked better and had a makeshift quality. The stain makes it look like it’s hiding something and exposes the not so pleasing wood grain pattern
I remember this has been one of the main videos that I really poured over when I was trying to understand foam and Drylok at the very beginning. Really helpful for my giant build! I’m working on my own series of videos of making of stuff now, and owe a lot to you! Thank you so much! Randy
Found this last night and waited until today to watch it but this is absolutely amazing, planning a large enclosure for our Boa and we’ve been debating building it ourselves so this is perfect for information! Thank you so much! 💚💚 Your dedication and love for your animals is wonderful to watch, perfect example for those new and old to the hobby 💚 Question: do you think the gap between the glass would be snake safe, especially for the thinner snakes like Kingsnakes?
Really great video. For my giant, terrarium build, I ended up using a combination of rigid PVC, piping and silicone tubing. This week, I could keep my fogger, low, yet be sure that any condensation would run back directly into the machine without clogging the pipes.
Hi!! I was wondering if you had the measurements for the wood and equipment needed for this ?? I’d love to try and build it for my red iguana!
This is awesome. Links in the description of everything used would be a great touch.
Great video - are you able to share you materials list for the frame build?
Is there a maximum length that you can use for the tubing? I"m building a 29g vivarium that'll sit on a stand. The stand has doors on the front but an open back, and I was hoping to be able to keep the mister inside the stand and run the tube up the back and into the top of the tank.
It should be fine to set it up as you described. I have done similar before without issue. Just do your tubing as direct as possible to where you want it to go in. Avoid any loops or sagging as the mist can condense and pool in the tubing and block it from reaching the end of the tube.
Is elastopur not sold in the us I can't seem to find it 😕 this would be perfect for my mangrove enclosure
Many have asked me this and I wasn't able to find it there when I looked online. I bought mine from German terrarium/reptile stores that I found online
How well did this hold up? I'm worried about my mangrove clawing it to pieces like he did w his foam background that was covered in silicone & coco fiber
It is not surprising that a mangrove monitor did that - Neither method is appropriate for a monitor of that size. I wouldn't use the method I did with my build in this video for animals any bigger than my tree monitors.
@Spectrum Vivaria what would you suggest I use then I'm not spending $500 on zoopoxy that's just ridiculous
