Jeffrey did it by himself because Jody was pregnant with her first child at the time.

It was not Jeffery but Boogaloo Turbo Shrimp who trained MJ for the moonwalk. However, Jeffrey was the original choreographer of Bad Music video. In which we also see Spike Lee. Turbo (Michael Chambers) and Late Bruno Falcon, were not credited for their parts of grooming Michael for his famous music videos. Late great Bruno Falcon was the original choreographer of Smooth Criminal music video. Turbo was responsible for MJ's change of Moonwalk from shorter to longer strides in 1995 MTV live on stage performance of Bellie Jean and Dangerous song mix.. Even the name "Moonwalk" was from another type of antigravity move where one seems walking on the moon. This backside and popping steps made Michael jackson a household name as he was a famous pop singer. Neither Jeffrey nor Turbo were credited. We grew up in India thinking it was only MJ who had invented such dance moves until we saw these dancers interviews. They were genius at their best. I was 14 years old when I saw this, I was totally blown away by it. I still listen to this song whenever I'm driving in my car now and the images of Jeffrey's dance moves will still be clear in my mind.

I saw the backslide done by "Electric Boogie" dancers while living in the Bronx long before 1982.

Everyone thought micheal jackson was the first to do the moon walk but jeffery daniels teached him to do it after seeing him on top of the pops😂

Oh everyone thinks they are clever by mentioning Bill Baily. Everyone with any knowledge about the back slide has heard of Bill Baily. If they haven’t seen it and bother to watch it on you they will be very disappointed. I wouldn’t call what Baily did the same thing as what Jeffrey Daniel or MJ did.

Rite here somebody already famous saw something Jeffrey did. In the end this famous guy called it the moonwalk. Before both these guys were born, a man called Bill Baily put this move on the floor in 1943.

It still floors me in when I see this, and incredible to know that it was this iconic dancer Jeffrey Daniel who invented the 'back-slide' which MJ re-named the ''Moon Walk''..!!!

What a pity in our time. Mj was an absolute talent in his own right. But give praise in someone known but so unknown. He stole the move as to where Janet needs to thank Paula for showing her she can dance.
