Great video. Thanks. I was really interested in hearing the greenback and creamback. I was trying to decide between 2 greens or one cream for my 20watt Marshall heads. Not sure if one 25 watt speaker would have been enough for a 20 watt head. Not much wriggle room.

the rat is perfect for any type of drive, it's a shame it doesn't clean up with the guitar's volume knob, obviously at low gain levels it does but entering the medium gain and above it just kills the volume knob dynamics, the blues driver is great but lacks gain to cover more territory, i don't know what simple driver could i use in that spot, i don't even like stacking gain pedals, i just need one because it's a pain in the ass to use the effects loop of an amp even if it has a great od channel

Good day to you. Reaching out for some clarity that I hope you or someone can answer. More videos on CZcams are showing Tremolo, Phaser, Univibe style pedals BEFORE gain pedals. Why? Don’t modulation pedals go after gain pedals?? Why would someone choose the option to place certain modulation pedals before the gain pedals? Are there famous players that routinely do this? Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I chose this channel because I’ve been a subscriber for a long time. I just felt more confident placing the questions here. Thanks again.

Much needed on a Stratocaster when playing with a drummer and bass, helps the Guitar fit in with the room size/ wall material too. Has a volume slider too for a boost. You got a Strat to sound close to a P90 Gtr. Thanks.

Hi Michael! Here another Michael from the south of Spain. I'm starting a new project guitar/drum. I'm using a Marshall Origin 20 for the main guitar and my old vox AC30 to give some body and a little bass to the sound. No lies said, it sounds stunning. But for some of the song I was think to get into the pedal for the vox sound (I have two pedal boards, the main with havy guns for the marshall and a little pedalboard with a luthier booster with valv and a delay) an octaver to get, you know that sound of the bass helping a little to get the main picture complete. I found you your video and I was thinking in the OC5, but play chords it does not sound very clear, does it? Here you got a new subscriber and as other pal said, thanks for the honesty! Cheers!

I have a 90s- vintage Carvin MTS3212 100W combo. It has a pair of Carvin BR12 speakers, which are OEM Eminence GB128's, which in turn are 100w Greenback clones. At lower volumes, they are really dark and clean. When I dial back the gain and crank the volume, they really open up give that "crang" that British-style speakers are known for!

Overall, I preferred the Jensen for everything except the jazz clean. I'm sure that your microphone positions were consistent, but I felt like the Celestion sounded like I had my ear very close the the speaker whereas the Jensen had a lot more depth and sounded like it was a better distance away from my ear.

I personally use a SOURCE AUDIO EQ 2 - dual channel EQ, that has a limiter, noise gate on both channels and are fully MIDI PRORAMABLE with presets CC and PC commands. I sit one channel in front of my amp and the other in the effects loop. I am able to dial so many tones with the click of a switch.*

Sorry for my english, I do my best. Just one question, can I use the Boss LS-2 to simulate a two amps set up, where one amp is dry and the other is wet? I explain myself better, Guitar go into the pedal imput and from the output I go to the amp, ok. In the meantime I would like to put my pedals into the loop A, the wet loop. All of them, from comp to delay, the entire chain. Instead, in the loop B I have my dry signal, only the guitar. In this way I have on one side the dry signal (guitar into the amp) and, in parallel, my wet signals (guitar into the pedals into amp). and then the 2 signals go to the amp in parallel. I can set the volume of the dry and wet signals as I like. Can I do it with this pedal? if not, what can I use do do it? Thanks

Great comparison and thanks for sharing. Having been a guitar player since the early 1970’s, I’ve constantly looked for sound or tonal differences between speakers, guitars, pickups, etc… I’ve got a 5E3 clone that not only sounds great, but is an electronic work of art. It has a Weber speaker in it that I think is well suited for it..however, I do have a BOSS Katana 100w that I would like to change speakers in. Being a non-tube amp though, I wonder just how many RMI watts that it really is? I would love to put a 35w Jensen on it. What do you think? Thanks much, Guitar player in Georgia - USA.

Perfect screaming lead sounds at night, without disturbing the neighbors. It's crazy to use a Twin Reverb or another 100 watt amp. It's the small tube amps that's key. Thanks for video. 👍🏼
