Hey. Thanks for the excellent video. I wanted to ask about your Pro Reverb amp. I have the same model, and I noticed yours looks like you have done some mods to it. Have you had an issue with noise? Mine is pretty hissy. I would appreciate it if you share your thoughts and advice on this. Best.

Such a stark difference! We spend so much time comparing amps and overdrives and the whole EQ could be changed by the speaker.

You can also boost the Boss-EQ and don't need the OD-3. Very good video!

Please disable and enable the pedal from time to time so everybody can here what the pedal actually does.

Playing to backing tracks and looping is a great way fit your instrument into a mix. Delay and Reverb... reverb in particular generally needs to be backed off as you get louder/room gets bigger And gain... gain is not volume people. If you turning up the amp, lower your gain or you'll be loud but still lost in the mix.

What kind of Gibson Les Paul is that you have in your videos (it looks like a lemon plain top or something)? I love the finish on it. I am not really into flame tops!

Now I'm wondering about efficiency and what role that plays. I assumed you needed a hi-powered amp for hi-power speakers. This is a rabbit hole but I'm starting to understand it a little better thanks to videos like this. I'm looking for clean tone and headroom. Hi-power and hi efficiency is what I want? Are there efficiency ratings for speakers?

Bought and setting up a new mini pedalboard as an alternative to my primary which is full size and bulky after I rediscovered what a PITA several Velcro backed individual pedals are floating around on carpet. Your pancake backed connectors tip proved useful, notably when two pedals without offset output-input are necessarily adjacent. Swapped from conventional cables. Can now fit a size mix of five pedals mini, std, std+ comfortably without additional solid straight through connectors (no flex) or spacing compromise. Six Minis would fit easily. A perfect size board for home.

Certain combinations of guitar - pedal - amp equals magic... For example a tele into a klon into a Marshall JTM/SLO is very early ZZ topish. It really depends on what you are trying to do. The Boss pedal into a Deluxe like you are doing here gives you that more modern overdriven Fender voice you hear on countless recordings in the last 30+ years which I think draws alot of people to it.

What is your favorite speaker for a Deluxe Reverb?

Imo, Fender puts high wattage speakers in their '65 Reissue series because they know that people are going to run the amps really hard for that Vintage tone/breakup. I like to run my Deluxe Reverb's volume on 5 when I can. I'm actually unable to very often because it's LOUD!

The Boss OD3 is a super solid pedal. It holds its own against the Strymon Riverside and Benson Preamp and likely many many others. As another commenter said--if this pedal was in a fancy enclosure and marketed as boutique, it would be $250.

Can anyone describe for me the overall EQ Differences between the scooped sounding CE5 and the shimmery DC2? I’m still confused. They both kind of described similar on paper but DC2 seems a bit less scooped at least to my ears
