WELCOME!
This channel is all about me repairing cars and attempting to show you how you could go about doing the same repair, or in some cases, showing you what not to do so you don’t make the same mistakes that I might make.
The videos on this channel won’t be about my car only, but rather about any car that I can get my hands on. But mostly 90s, early, and mid 2000s Japanese cars.
If you have any suggestions, comments, or advice, let me know in the comments!

why is the exhaust heat shield missing?
@@gemmachaplin3117 because they rusted off a long time ago
Does it have to be torque to the exact number or can I just do everything with a wrench ?
If you use 50% acetone and 50% Automatic transmission fluid instead of WD-40 or any spray rust repellent it works better. The acetone eats the rust almost immediately and the atf helps it wick down the threads because it thin. Also if you can hit it with a hammer first it will shock the rust loose. The go tighten just a little bit and then loose. If it starts to bind go tight then loose then tighten then BTW, ALWAYS USE A 6 POINT SOCKET.. NEVER USE A 12 POINT SOCKET.. If you don't have a 6 point socket go buy one,or rent one, or borrow one... You'll thank me later
Thanks
Did you upgrade to the LS400 big brakes?
@v.alexander300 I did not. I never felt the need to. Did plenty of hard driving and these brakes never even faded. So I thought why replace them if they're good. This car never sees a track anyway lol
@@AutoFixYT okay, I’m planning on doing a suspension tune up . Love the video
@@v.alexander300 Nice, hope it all goes well!
GOOD JOB!!!!!!
Above and beyond average mechanicing I was very impressed! Thank you! So it looks like GM modules may not actually be the culprit but the fuse circuit capsule!
@@petrokrasnov2967 Thank you! And well... the true culprit is actually the windshield leak. That's where it all started from. And then it got into the GEM.

hello again man , any advice for broken glovebox its broken wont open been searching for any tip .
@khalid8813 broken because the latch is stuck? Or it's locked and you don't have the key? Or the latch is broken...? Different solutions for different problems here lol
@@AutoFixYT mine is without a key , i think its broken or stuck!!
Nice video! The windshield is sealed when installed. The rubber trim pieces are just decorative. So, water ingress is likely occurring elsewhere.
Yeah I know. But I lifted up the rubber seals and siliconed underneath them. Problem solved for me.
The transmission fluid is brown... and you didn't even put a new filter in, shame on you.
When taking the caliper off and back on can the piston get out of place and need a c-clamp to be properly seated? I'm having some brake problems after doing this fix, and am trying to figure out the cause.
@@charlesedmundadams5238 not unless you stepper on the brake pedal. Piston doesn't move unless pushed on way or another. What kind of brake problems are you experiencing?
Just today my alternator on my 1994 Toyota wagon DX broke. And thanks to your video I will be able to do the job on my own, thank you.
Any recommendations or tips on how to seal the windshield?
@AdamGainer Silicone is the backyard way, remove and reinstall is the correct way. I went the silicone route. Worked very well. Doesn't look pretty if you look close, but I was going for function over form on this one. I lifted up the old rubber seal where I could, used compressed air to clean and dry, and I went outside on a hot summer day when the truck was baking in the sun so i could ensure there was no moisture stuck in there, and i lathered everything in silicone underneath the seal. Once underneath was full, i played the seal down and finished it up on top. Done :)

I got 2000 corolla but with same engine, and just wondering can I change my steering belt without removing alternator belt ?
Quick question. Does your overflow reservoir have a cap with 2 fittings on it? I have a hose on one side that goes to the radiator, and the otherside is just a short little piece of hose that it looks like someone cut.
Too bad I don’t have an air gun for the center bolt to take off the hub…
Breaker bar through the wheel (remove center cap), or stick a screwdriver in the rotor through the caliper and then use a breaker bar
Great job
Thank you
I just did this today. I just kept removing things and I got to the point where I almost opened the coolant line. Lol. Fortunately I was able to wiggle that thing out. The reassembly took Half as long. lol.
Haha that's how it goes sometimes. Just dig until you get to it. Reassembly is always faster lol
Could this cause fuses to smoke and no brake light
Yes it can
Great video, man! I decided it was pathetic that I don't know how to change my own oil so I watched this video and just did it. Hardest part was on my Ranger, the filter was really hard to get to, but other than that, a really smooth process. This video made it easy for me to tell what was what when it did it.
Awesome!
thank you so much for posting this, very informative. I'm torn on the multiple replacements...I just had this old Mexican guy whose been right way more times than I have tell me to take a portion of the old fluid and mix it with the new, which sounds off to me but I think I get the concept. I'm going to do a 2x replace and add the additive like you did. Camry 177K I'll let you know if anything bizarre happens...
No that's right it can be done in certain cases, although not necessary on a good transmission.
You just used the clamp to the ball joint yikes its still in service no issues?
Nice hit for the bj removal satisfying af
With a bj press you still need to cut the stud this time in just hammered it out and made my own cup with a piston off a checy front caliper and a grinder
That's awesome haha whatever works!
It’s every climate bro honda vss or wss always rust stuck to the breaking point of the plastix
Clean cord, man I find out if you check your vehicle up and you don’t have an impact one thing I do with a neutral is a jerk the wheel like I’m gonna tighten it in that direction once it starts spinning I use the momentum of the tire and jerk it the other way and that losens emb up if you forget to loosen them on the ground
My geo doesn't leave room for a regular ratchet. The nut was so rusted and stuck I had to use a nut remover and end wrench.
Yeah mine was really stuck the first time I took ot off
Do the corolla and celica have the same exact radiator? I'm buying a corolla tomorrow and it needs a radiator and I was just gonna swap my celica one in if possible
I think so. But if you have it, it's worth trying because why not haha
What size of tonneau cover you got on this cuz I can’t find it I have same truck but king ranch model
Look on 1aauto.com, that's where mine is from. They have all different styles and sizes.

Those are easy too yeah
I just watched a video and you're taking more steps to take out your CV shaft. The other channel didn't bother with the brake lines.
I did it so I wouldn't accidentally overstretch it. You do you, I'd you don't want to remove it then definitely do it your way. I take shortcuts sometimes that work well as long as I'm careful. Sometimes the risk is worth it ;)
@@AutoFixYT If you removed the lower ball join nut and a linkage nut, the brake lines wouldn't stretch. I have a bad vibration when I accelerate so I'm not looking forward on replacing my driver side cv shaft.
