Is it compulsory to go to the cafetaria?

I literally moved every single year growing up. I got used to always knowing no one and feeling awkward. It messed me up socially. I have made sure my kids have got to stay at one school.

We don't have cafeteria's in Australia, we just sit anywhere in the school except in out of bound areas like parking lots, near the school fence etc.

Im currently in the school bathroom during the lunch period because I have no one to sit by. This is the second day. I meet friendly people in class but none of which are “lunch” friends. They’re just nice people.

My school year in Florida has already started. I’m halfway through it, and I’m moving to Ohio because of my parent’s sudden decision.. I’ve lived in Florida for 5 years and I really don’t like it, so I’m actually exited to move to Ohio. The thing is, I’m scared about the whole “New Girl” thing. Plus, moving halfway through the year is way harder I’m assuming since everyone has already gotten used to the school and then you’re the only awkward person there.
