This wanker Atwell hasn't improved with age. I am watching this in 2022 after another refereeing debacle at Elland Road against Aston Villa. Atwell is one of the very worst Referee's on the circuit. 😡😡
For those saying it was only the linesman fault.. Attwell was right there and could surely see it wasn't anything like a goal. He's equally guilty of missing it. PS and he supports Luton so that only added to the frustration and disbelief of the home support.

The clowns on Soccer Saturday talked as if it was the worst decision ever because the foul was committed just past the halfway line but it was definitely the correct decision because there wasn't another Bolton player anywhere near the Spurs man and only two things could've possibly happened if Cahill hadn't made the foul: The Spurs player would've run into the box and had a clear shot at goal or he would've squared it to his unmarked team-mate, who was also well away from any Bolton players.
We should use video assisted refereeing,that should do away with all the controversy.We will call it VAR,fast forward to 2019 and we have more controversial decisions than ever!!!
Attwell at it again last weekend, awarding Chelsea a free-kick (from which they scored) following a “ghost” foul by Pedro Neto on Alonso whose embarrassing dive.easily fooled the hapless Attwell.
