Thank you for your video. But I do not agree with the incisal edge position. It's not only esthetic who should determine it's position (even not too much) but phonetic and function. As E. BEDROSSIAN say's, it's a "god given position": you can not move it up or down just for esthetic reasons. But ok for the others points with the lip etc.

Thanks! Of course it is a group function but the canine participation not only starts earlier but also becomes the only guidance tooth after a certain extent. Before, the posteriors would share the load almost throughout the whole movement.

@@jandrecardoso8609 I have started experiencing pain in my molar just 2 months after my canine was shaved down to be used as an abutment for an anterior bridge. I suspect this lost canine guidance is causing the pain
Holy sh. On monday i have appointment to discuss a ortho treatment which require 4 of this......godddddd take pity of my sore Ps. I quit when i was 15 a ortho treat bc of the sorenes made by brackets (i am a afta machine everytime i bite or braces broke)30 years later i am back.... Listen to ur parents!!!!

This is an interesting video. Another factor could be vertical maxillary overgrowth or deficiency. Which is a skeletal deformity. In my own case for example, I am 32 years old but have no incisor display due to a vertically short maxilla. Jaw surgery with down grafting of the maxilla by 2-3 mm has been suggested to me by an orthodontist as well as a maxilofacial surgeon.
