Interesting. I've been on a couple of long, multiple day tours and it never occured to me to buy a can of tuna for protein source. Given that canned food can last a lot and it resists a wide range of temps, this should have been a no-brainer. Noted it in my next tour's food checklist.

For cycle commuting, hub dynamo-powered lights are just superb. I normally also carried spare battery-powered lights - just in case of electrical faults - but in 25 years of commuting, I never needed them. They are so reliable that would never buy a bike without getting a hub dynamo fitted.
