I started this channel to fight the misinformation and fear that I was seeing during the COVID pandemic. As time has passed, I have also started to give updates on important medical subjects that I find fascinating or helpful. I pledge to use studies, expert opinion and my own knowledge of medicine to provide an easy to understand and unbiased view of different topics in medicine.
I work as a General Internal Medicine Physician (Primary Care Physician for Adults) in a community clinic. I have been practicing medicine since 2005 and am Board Certified in Internal Medicine. I graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed my residency training in Portland, Oregon.
I am married to Matt Risinger (of the BUILD Show!) and have 4 children.

The Most Important MEDICAL Things to Have after a DISASTER
I've been on wegovy for 6 months lost 30lbs then it just stop working on me so I asked my doctor to put me on zepbound ,the insurance says I got to prove that I joine a gym wtf, still can't get it tryed 3 times
You're the best! Thanks for this education. I've been having low blood pressure on compounded tirzepatide 5mg, but can't find much in the literature about it. Have you had any clinical experience with hypotension as a side effect of glp1s?
Also ask if their goals are to have any energy at all.My low levels crushed my energy.
my t level was 57ish ( I'm in Canada so my level was 2 at its lowest.) I only cared because this left me with NO energy and sleeping 17 hrs a day.I was on injections and then gell for years, but now we think we found the cause. ((new doc and endocronologist)( Lazy and incompatent) your American level of 300 would be lovely to have.
What wasn't mentioned was the use of Ivermectin in conjunction with other therapeutics. As can be the case, better results in treatment,be it Covid or other illness, is accomplished with dual therapy. Furthermore, science is only as good as the researchers and the applied methodology they use to measure
Thank you! I am more knowledgeable about diabetes medicine. Your video presentation has lead me to bring my care team to put me on medicines that are not harmful to my health.
Has anyone on here heard anything about the sublingual semiglutide?
It appears that your perspective is quite critical. However, it’s important to recognize that there are reputable sources that produce high-quality compounds. The cost of Ozempic, which can be as high as $1,200 for a four-week supply, is prohibitive for many people. Semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic, has shown remarkable results in clinical studies, and obtaining it through compounded formulations can be a more affordable option, often costing significantly less. 😏
Someone brought me a bottle of Calcium citrate, Magnesium and zinc with vit. D3 from Kirkland Signature. Unfortunately EXP Data 10.22. Has the Exp.Data a negative impact if i take now im 2024 those tablets?
With all due respect Dr. My question is ... instead of a noninvasive mri for artery damage you would prescribe a statin that has side effects because of high cholesterol?
WHAT information do you have on the oral semaglutide? I started taking it a week ago today. I have been put on it for weight loss, my insurance doesn't cover any of those meds. Great content, very informative
It is the cost of the medication, not just the fault of the insurance company. Why is Ozempic only $300 month at a Canadian Pharmacy. Why can you buy high quality, research grade Semiglutide for $40 per dose?
didn't know insulin was prescribed for for Type 2
I was diagnosed five years ago. I did a little research adopted time restricted eating and stopped eating anything with added or excessive sugars and cut out the starches. My A1C went from 12.2 down to 5.7 in six months. I lost weight and my blood pressure went back to normal. I had come off the metformin and if I had known then what I know now I would have never been on it.
After 2 months of using compounded Zepbound, I developed pancreatitis induced from gallstones, had my GB removed 2 weeks after that....Also during ERCP, a mass was found on Ampulla of Vater. Now going to get Ampullectomy. Do you think this is a side effect of Zepbound?
Jairdian, Mounjaro, and Ozempic are too expensive under Medicare and a Medigap plan.
The kick back from ozempic must be amazing! Just this week I've been told it's for weight loss, diabetes, kidney disease, and now addiction.
Bioavailability & RoA, pretty simple
Thank you for the video! Curious if you did your 60 day follow up? I couldn’t see it under your videos. Thanks so much would love to know if it helped you!
Ivermectin and fenvendazol are miracle drugs!!!!
Ivermectin and fenvendazol... thousands of testimony from cancer survivors.. by the way.. read the side effects for 100% of all medicine!!! They're all terrible!!! So i dont wanna hear about side effects as an excuse for not approving ivermectin or fenvendazol
Jardiance causes a lot of urination
Don't take metformin
Where does Basaglar fit into this conversation?
I like your content - but not even mention "vaping" when talking about quiting aids? just read some studies (e.g. PHE and RCOP in the UK) … cheers !!!
Maybe there's a correlation with "fake" engineered foods??
Younger and younger people getting cancer. Strange isn’t that.
Benadryl linked to dementia do not take
Thank you for the information!
Lots of BS on CZcams
Very true, just replace these medicine with planet Ayurveda Dia-Beta Plus, this is all in one herbal and safe solution or Diabetes,
Just had bloodwork. After low-carb for 3 months, lipids are normal and A1C is trending down (now 6.1). Blood pressure normal; weight is down. Doc nevertheless insists I need FOUR medications, including a statin, just as prophylactics. three of them are contraindicated for thyroid patients (hypothyroidism is my only legitimate health concern). One of them is a sulfonylurea. Clearly, selling medicines is the point. Patient health doesn't factor in.
After what your were telling us about Covid, I stopped following you. Thank God, I didn't listen to your advice on Covid vaccine.
Outstanding doc
Thanks doc keep up the good work thanks 👍🙏
If you have heartburn it’s because you don’t have enough acid in your stomach to deal with whatever you ate and you know what I mean like fried food, etc. just take a teaspoon or table spoon of apple cider vinegar in a few ounces of water and it will go away without damaging your already upset stomach! Swish out your mouth with some water after so the vinegar does not erode your tooth enamel. Thanks to all the you tube drs that describe this remedy!
very good news, and very timely, too!
Metformin ruined my kidneys
Dr. thanks for taking the time to present this helpful sleep information 😊
Ya not at 700.00 dollars
Very inaccurate information
I'm surprised you didn't mention looking for pcab accreditation. (Pharmacy compounding accreditation board.) Do you think this is a useful credential to check in a compounding pharmacy?
Last year, diagnosed as type 2, my A1C was 13.9; my doctor didn’t want to put me on metformin, said he wanted to leave my pancreas alone to do what it does without flogging it and burning it out; he did put me on jardience, and was willing to spend months fighting the insurance company to get it deemed medically necessary; insurance covers it, doesn’t cost me a thing. With a massive change in diet and an uptick in exercise, 3 months later my A1C was 6.2, and has been there since, just diet/ exercise/ jardience.
Metformin is a terrible medication 👏👏
what about dapagliflocin + vildagliptin
I been on PPI's for 20 years now. I'm 54 and I been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis recently. Every morning when I wake up, all my joints hurt. The joints that hurt the most is my fingers, thumbs, and knees. I have GERD really bad. I will have to switch to Pepcid. Hopefully I can reverse the OA. I didn't know being on this med for a long time would cause me having really bad joint pain. Thank you for the video!
Is Empower pharmacy ok?
I take Ozempic (once a week, highest), metformin, (2x a day) jardiance, and insulin ( 3x a day)and my A1C is just now down to 6.8 after 11 years . I can’t exercise because of neuropathy in both legs and feet. I was just approved for SSID. If not for the VA, I would be dead. They can supply all my meds ( I take others for HBP, arthritis and depression).
OZEMPIC now has a law suit against the manufacturer
How did you know im younge and a female!?🤨
