Im on Vancouver island and can pick up a $100 worth on empties every long weekend or every other day in the summer just walking both sides of the highway in a 2 hour loop around nanoose bay. also find lots of cash and wallets cause for what ever reason tourists for place wallets and what not on there roof and forget or the windows are down and cash isn't secure so just blows out 🤗

It's ilegal to dig in somebody's trash because what if you threw something out and it happened to have some important info on it that they could apply for a credit card in your name. Next thing you know you have a bunch of payments coming to your house for things you didn't buy. I recycle my own cans but recycling bottles for cash is a PITA where I live. I could care less somebody only getting the bottles but don't want to take the chance finding something I don't want them to.

Al, don't sell yourself short mate. There's a reason why your build threads were absolutely massive back in the forum days. The Skid Factory would have become popular off it's own merits without a doubt. That MCM boost helped, but you only got that boost because the MCM guys had a heap of respect for you because of the builds and knowledge you shared on the forums. Before CZcams was a thing, before subscribing to a channel existed, there were a bunch of links I had bookmarked, it was the O.G. subscribe button. I wish I still had those links, from memory there were sites like MotoIQ, AutoSpeed and build threads in places like corner carvers and performance forums. One of my most memorable threads was an engine conversion on a Liberty, that was an epic thread. Good memories.

I remember seeing an episode of Hot Rod Garage featuring "most popular" engine swaps. LS, 2J, and the 12V Cummins. They got kinda roasted on not featuring the Barra. In my opinion, you guys has a lot to do with making this engine a bit more famous in the internet world.

I'm Al's age and I had stopped doing cars when I had kids. Watching Al in his shed back when Marty brought his MX-5 to when he "retired" was always fun watching him drop his been-there-done-that knowledge on us. The last few years I'm back in the shed and doing engine swaps, not because it's easy but because it's mine, and it's really fun solving the problems that always come up.
