@@rufflyadventuring3579 Aww yeah, it's one of ours too. We were going to build the robot, R.A.L.F. Firefly is on the back burner for the next few weeks, unfortunately. Our financial situation has changed, my self-employed business has taken a hit, so we're all hunting for jobs. Firefly will still be done at evenings and weekends, but we're going to have to aim to work on her over the summer. :( Xx

Aww that’s a shame about your business hopefully you’s find something soon. We did the van at evenings, weekends and the odd holiday and defo got loads done over the summer. If we head down south this summer we will come give yous a hand. Planning some trips just now and wales is defo on the list x

The last time I cleaned it, it took ages but used mould and mildew remover think it was cilitbang and came off so easy. All I’ve seen this past week is orange campervans taking it as a sign lol just need to order some paint samples and see what orange I want 👍

😂😂 not sure how good they will be at 80p each the dogs do look cute in them tho. Brakes have been fixed sorting rust at the moment in prep for our trip next week. How’s firefly coming on did you make a decision about carpet? We went dark grey carpet and I love the look and feeling of carpet but wish I had went lighter xx

@@rufflyadventuring3579 yeah she's coming on well thanks, although we've missed weeks due to family ill health. I think, as much as I agree, dark grey carpet would have looked epic, in such a wet environment, it's probably not a good idea, so we're going to go ahead without it and just paint the walls. We reckon some sort of tartan for the interior furnishings, though. :)

Hi 😀 I didn’t get screws with the brackets so used some decent self tapping screws long enough to go at least 3/4 way into the wood. Just checked it all last week and still solid after almost 2 years 😀👍 what van are you converting?

Thanks Dave sorry to hear about you’re GS cracking dogs ❤️ and I will look them up we are not far away from them 👍 she is really well trained and under normal circumstances always does as she’s told but new and busy places are our nemesis lol even had dogs trainers just give up. Not tried a trainer for a few years tho so might be worth trying again. Quiet places with not much going on and she’s great. She’s been like this from the day we got her vet even recommended walks before her vaccinations to burn off energy 🤦‍♀️❤️ thanks for watching 👍

Feel your pain with two dogs in the van. Its defo not easy. We use a figure of eight lead for our spaniel and it helps massively with the pulling. And i cany believe you never took the hat aff 😂😂

@@oor_annie_van9001 😂😂😂 aww I really couldn’t, I canny even look in the mirror the hat comes off between 11pm and 6am 😂😂😂 tried the figure 8 lead she drops to the ground head first and refuses to move she’s a bloody nightmare of a dog 🤦‍♀️ the only thing that seems to work when she’s that wired is to really shout at her which isn’t a great look in public 😂 swearing also really works. She has no interest in any type of treat in those situations I ended up carrying her to calm her down before she had a heart attack 🤦‍♀️

It’s my fav aswell Sharon hates it well driving in it and start panicking in August about it coming lol I really hope we have a better season next year or I’m taking up paragliding 😂😂 thanks for watching guys we really appreciate it 😀❤️

Yeah we have since realised this so will be replacing just figuring out whether we want to do another newer van so holding off. On a positive note tho I had to take the insulation out of the back doors to fit some ladders and it was bone dry no sign of mould and looked like the day I put it in 18 months ago 👍

Winters our favourite time of year for an adventure. Much quieter and always in with a chance of snow. Just packing for a snowboarding trip just got everything crossed the snow doesn’t melt before Tuesday lol. Lossiemouth beach was amazing will defo go back in better weather lol xx

Really 😂 we've only been a couple of times but always been quite quiet. It was a few years back tho before wild swimming kicked off. We are usually on beaches up north where we are normally the only people on it 😂😂 we went back last weekend aswell its our new fav love all the dogs playing with each other x

@rufflyadventuring3579 No we didn't we headed there but the van was randomly going into limp mode and was worried ahe wouldnt get up the route the sat nav was taking us. But like you want to go back here when it's warmer it was blowing a hoolie and chucking it down when we went too xx

I’ve thought about those pies everyday since we’ve been back, thinking about heading back up that way after new year for more pies lol. You can’t beat seeing wild deer I could watch them for hours and defo recomend Clachtoll motorhome park up although there’s another really good one that we didn’t go to just along the road Achmelvich beach roads a bit tight but it’s the best beach on mainland Scotland. It’s mobbed in the summer but we always get it to ourselves in the winter 👍❤️

Those pies were amazing, I actually went to order some online but minimum order of 12 pies and we don’t have room in the freezer or a spare £110 😂😂 but I defo think of them every day 😂😂 we r off to Skye in the next video defo somewhere I would recomend you sail firefly to when she’s ready 👍❤️

Thanks guys gutted we didn’t see a golden eagle but the amazing drive through the snow roads made up for it and the van will hopefully be sorted for our next trip in a couple of weeks thinking about doing the nc500 now that it should be a bit quieter although quite a bit of snow forecast over the next few weeks so plans might change lol thanks again for watching and supporting the channel 😀❤️

Yeah it’s one of my favourite drives although I’ve only driven it in the winter so was nice to just enjoy it and not worry about the snow lol the mountains are my fav aswell I feel so peaceful and calm in the mountains. You’re wanting a van and I want a boat now because of firefly lol although the gear box issues are making me consider getting a newer van and starting again lol thanks for watching guys xx

Thanks it was a lot of hard work but I really enjoyed it. The diesel heater is my favourite part of the van lol hardly uses any diesel although it drains more of the battery than I’d hoped still worth it tho 👍

We usually get enough snow up in the resorts for snowboarding Jan to April but last year was terrible season ended not long after that video hopefully we will get a decent season this year. Just been away for a few days there and we visited all the east coast resorts through the snow roads. Really nice to do them with no snow for a change lol c

That was one of the scariest jobs to do but I watched loads of videos and researched it loads. It’s turned out well over a year later and no leaks 👍

Thanks for watching them guys it really was a lot of work but I miss it now it’s done. Going to have to redo the insulation tho as the stuff I’ve used isn’t great if you have any leaks so might have a change of layout whilst I’m at it lol

Yeah you are spot on Kenny the rock wool is coming out over the winter and plastic bottle insulation going in. We watched loads of vids with people using it but realised a few months ago it wasn’t a good idea especially with the leaks we’ve had. Not looking forward to replacing it but might even change the layout to make it more dog friendly lol Yeah can’t beat a karcher I’m a tully quite glad it’s turned colder and I can use it again lol thanks for watching a commenting 😀❤️

Yeah it’s still there aswell doing my head in still 😂😂 it was butyl tape and it’s still holding off the leaks a year later 👍😀 might have to go up and have another check tho get it replaced if it needs it before winter. Hope you guys are all well and getting to get some jobs done on firefly xx

Yeah the vans getting quite used to floods it’s had another few since then. I really should take the kayak out the van so we can use it to get to the van when it floods 😂😂 The sound deadening really makes a difference the vans so quite in the back 👍

Thanks I quite enjoyed it and it’s not the best but still holding out the water lol it’s on the roof aswell so no one sees it lol you will be a professional fibre glasser by the end of it 😀👍
