Thomas is way better than good, he could be the best in the league and average would be a huge improvement to what they had last year. Of course it’s all dependent on health. He holds every major LSU WR record and that says a lot considering Jamaar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Odell and many more came from there. They are lucky they got him because losing Barkley would have made their offense completely inept had they not got Nabers. I think he will be better than Harrison and Odunze. Time will tell.

Reminds me of Tevin Coleman at Indiana. Long strider with lots of big plays with his top end speed, but struggles with a lack of quick feet and redirection in close quarters. Ideally he needs to be in a zone scheme which utilizes that one cut, upfield home run ability. He may never be terribly efficient even in a Shanahan scheme, but the big play threat should make him the top option in a system like that's rotation.

One more reason, and possibly the most important reason why Stroud throws the ball where the receiver has to go to the ground to catch it is because he's trying to protect his receivers from a "hospital pass." I think that's what it's called in rugby. But he's trying to throw it so his receiver doesn't get murdered by a defensive player when he catches the ball.

It's well to note, I believe, Worthy played a lot of recent snaps with a broken hand. If he can withstand the pressure of playing in the NFL, 'cos it looks like some Chiefs crumbled when it came to show time, then I hope he becomes a huge star. I do worry a defender will try to obliterate him in the tackle, but Andy Reid has worked with speedy, smaller framed guys in the past, so if there is anyone who can make good things happen, it's him. I do not want to see is a turgid Chiefs offence. I want fireworks. I want fun. I want Mahomes torching defences.

Bro I swear literally everyone was hating on Kyler murray

  • @UsefulPreconceivedNotions

    1) I worry more about KK being his OC. He's had Zero Success with Mahomes or Caleb Williams in college & the whole Kyler Murray fiasco left me feeling he can't _comprehend_ "out of structure" as a concept. Do we know what idiot released Kyler's "must study" clause to the public? Despite that & occasionally running when he could throw, Daniels still feels like the most NFL-ready QB in this draft. He does nothing due to true panic. So everything here feels like something he can grow out of by year 4. I'm patient & don't expect everyone to be Fully Developed right away. 2) Speaking of players who take unnecessary hits when they run, every highlight I've seen of Brock Bowers features him running into defenders, bouncing off them then running for more yards. This may indicate an inability to make cuts or turns. So you may wish to look into that. You might catch something others have missed.

You might be the only person I know with this take. Mahomes was a nobody HS QB and Kingsbury developed him into a top 10 pick. Murray played the best football in his life under Kingsbury, he also made the league believe that Manziel was the next big thing. On top of that Brian Johnson was QB coach for Jalen Hurts, and Dak Prescott. Kingsbury sucked as HC but he is the one that's developing top tier talent in his system. If he had 0 success developing Williams why did Williams go #1 overall? Pretty invalid thought process there

@@Lethos_94 I'll handle "why did Williams go First Overall" first. Because media loves itself & its own memes. I ask people to clarify what they mean. They can't. What they *_WILL_*_ do_ is stick to whatever memes they accepted in the face of any reality. For instance when seen together like this czcams.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/video.html anyone can see that Justin Fields is a better rusher, scrambler & passer than Caleb. It isn't even close. Even when not pressured, Caleb will wind up, launch a nice, pretty spiral that is so off-target his receivers have to stop dead & wait for the ball. Meanwhile Fields is zinging low-flying missiles that don't give defenders a chance to make a play that then land in the hands of his receivers. If anyone didn't have any what my name is heres & told me Caleb was better at anything, you'd doubt their sanity. & here's the thing: you just implied _you_ can see outside the surface stats & figures to see that no, KK is actually good. So it'll be interesting to see what you do with *that.* As for Murray playing his best football under KK, he also played his worst. It's too small a sample size. What I based my opinion on was that *_SOMEONE leaked_* that studying clause to the public. Even if it wasn't him, who tf else could have *_put_* it IN his contract *and why?* What HC puts "my QB needs to study" out there In Writing to begin with so it _can be_ leaked out? How does that _not_ put a rift between you & your QB? How does he not _get_ that? Dealing with players is part of the job. as for Manziel, I could refer to tons of analysis videos that are going to be exactly like the Caleb situation. A media frenzy of "someone repeated a throw-away remark. So it _must_ be true!!" No one looked to confirm anything *that was **_said!_* When I _find_ stuff, I *look* at it without any of the what my name is heres. It's not even hard. The VAST majority of humans repeat things they heard without confirming truth. Once you understand that, you mentally visualize yourself carrying a trash bag full of memes & throwing it out, then Watch The Tape. Fields became better at rushing & scrambling in the NFL (out of necessity) & still threw accurate passes. So people doubled down on their narratives. Want examples? About week 5 of '22 Eberflus asked/ordered (because if it's your coach, you obey it) him to Not Throw to certain receivers on certain plays. I don't have a clue how he phrased it to make it make sense to him but Everyone Knew at the time that this was a coaching call because everyone said "they _needed to do this_ in order to simplify the offense for Fields." Eberflus all but admitted this with his evasions of reporters' questions on the subject for the next few weeks. But the Fan Response to realizing this was a Coaching Decision is what's being looked at here. That invented excuse (no team is going to tell the rest of the NFL their QB can't read defenses so this _HAS to be_ a lie the fans invented) made it 100% clear that the fans _KNEW_ it was a coach's call & they were defending it. Then the meme changed to "Fields holds onto the ball too long." You mean because his own OC told him not to pass to certain receivers? Nope. The meme changed along the lines of *what the memes are **_FOR_* not to make any sense. The memes exist to Present A Narrative. People remain loyal to _narratives_ regardless of any reality. So, a slight recap. Okay, there's both good & bad, results & things we can point to in KK. I'm not sure how he's responsible for anything you say because I've seen *examples of* his bad play-calling. He never once tried to move D-Hop around for instance & tried to match him favorably against an LB instead of a CB for instance. I don't have solid examples of plays he called that worked. I'm also not looking, so I'm 100% willing to leave what I don't know as undecided. How many NFL analysts do you think I showed that college tape of Fields being obviously better than Caleb in & what do you think their reactions were? The only ones stupid enough *to* answer all just repeated that Fields has a terrible W/L record & _"is"_ now a back-up. No one can even _address_ a reality that doesn't conform to the media memes they accepted.

as a commanders fan, no i never want Jayden to prioritize anything before his health. Hell, I'm ok with losing regular season games if it means he protects himself. So many good dual threat QBs come out of college: the GREAT ones are able to protect themselves. its that simple. the best ability is availability. im most excited to see Jahan and Terry with a real QB. Terry has had 5 1,000 yard seasons since he joined the NFL with 5 DIFFERENT QBs... Jahan is sneaky fast as fuck... gonna be awesome. just gotta stay healthy lawd please.
