This is where I live and have all my life. I grew up in Snowville and spent most of my summers on the lake swimming. There is a lot of beautiful things to see and explore in this part of VA. There is a great few Restaurants in Radford. Sal's and BTs are both great, Macado's is also usually good. Mason Jar up near the State Park are just a few locally owned places. There are several in Blacksburg that aren't chain restaurants. Long Way Brewery in Radford also has great food trucks that are there when they are open. They are good restaurants that are chains in the area if you ask locals or do some research.

That's neat that the waterfall was at the start of the trail. I agree with you, normally you find those at the middle or end of the trail.

I’m glad the foot is healing up. It sucks to not do what you love because of an injury. Jonathan Run Trail and the two Falls looked beautiful. I would definitely hike here. I was in this area recently when I visited Fallingwater. As we were driving Ohiopyle popped up on my GPS. Happy hiking. 👍
