hi! do you recommend tilling the area first before laying down new top soil? we have a patch that's shaded that gets muddy (no sitting water) and thinking we add top soil to grade it then lay down fescue

hello, how is that this doesnt need a thin layer of top soil on it? Isn't that how plating seed works?

So many lawn folk hold humic acid in such 😅high regard but if you listen to Matt Martin (The Grass Factor) who apparently reviewed all of the available research out there on turf and humic acid and the bottom line was humic acid= meh at best. Confusing.

Can't locate the backflow valves. We are on irrigation water for our sprinklers. Would we have backflow installed?

I find the whole humic acid thing very confusing. Many people like yourself rave about it but I saw Matt Martin of the Grass Factor do what looked like a very comprehensive review of the available science out there on humic and bottom line is it's probably not worth the $ and the bother. Did you see that vid? 🤔

What is the white pipe sticking out of the ground that goes nowhere that is in between the water control and the backflow preventer. The reason I’m asking the On mine is loose when I turn the water on a little water came out of that. I’m highly assuming that I should screw that on tight. Is that correct.

Last Summer the previous owner plowed my lawn in two large spots and replanted seed. Now I'm left with the clay dirt that ist still soft and muddy a year later with patchy balding grass in spots. Its awful I can't even walk in my back yard without the quicksand affect. Help what should I do?

Hmm, I made this but the ribs were so dry and hard. Blech. Yes, falling off te bone but dry as a bone too. Maybe less pressure time would be better. I think I might just go back to baking em'. I do love the instantpot but, this failed for me.
