You don't need a GARGANTUAN screwdriver to assemble the cot, otherwise it would've come with one! Also, spraying water on the cot is a terrible idea, epecially if you will be lying on it anytime soon. I agree with Dragnmastralex about his method... See the video link below: czcams.com/video/fSfswGVeESQ/video.html
Wrong
Shit quality. Legs metall 0,5mm. If you sit suddenly in the middle, the legs deforming. I have 2 similiar beds, and both damaged.
dumbass. you stand the cot up and step on the bar!
I've heard good feedback about the Stodoys plans.
11 years later... THANK YOU. Spent 20 minutes almost passing out trying to get that last notch in place! Grabbed a metal tube I had laying around and took 2 seconds to get into place. 👏 Thanks!
No link to order 🙄
Thanks for the tip! Helped me a lot.
Nice one my friend Good job
i was hoping for some 'trick' to the last pole corner......the screwdriver is also what i used BEFORE watching this. good vid tho
Necesitamos saber el precio y envío a Colombia....colores.... gracias por la información.
In the army almost seven years at this point and I’ve never seen a cot with all the bars on. We just quit as an entire army
2 years on, can confirm the British Army is also like this 🤣
Where I can buy ?
He doesn't even fit in it :D
Is this still available
What's it's capacity?
Hi, very nice.. What is The name of the cloth used here? Please inform me
You should really talk about how the cot should be completely level. Shim the legs with 4x4 thin squares of wood, so the cot is level in all directions. If it is not you take a great chance in bending the side rails joints or legs. Never sit on an unlevel cot. You are only asking to damage it. If this helped you, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.....
Is it just me or do we all have the same cot
يا الله
WARNING NEVER USE A PRY BAR TO ASSEMBLE A COT. it will eventually damage it and cause structural weakness. instead stand the cot up on the end where the unattached side is on the bottom. step on the overlapping pole that you slide into the cot at the edge near the hole, then when your hands on the side frame push while you are stepping on it using the cot itself as a lever and it will lift the 2 apart far enough so that you can move it over the hole and when you let the cot go back, slide right into the hole. No additional tools required and you don't damage your cot with any prying tools.
best advice on here....took seconds to assemble after reading this.
I don't get it. Can you explain it like I'm a THREEYEAROLD?

Great. Needed this!
Thank you for this great video. I have a Coleman River Gorge Cot I assembled for over a year now and forgot how to take it down. It is now after midnight and got no help at all from Coleman. Like one writer says, they are a waste of time. I had forgot how to get that end bar off. I remember it was a real pain getting it on for the first time, now I know how it comes off. Thanks again!!!!!
I am in Kenya here can I buy the aluminum cot.
Very good demo
Thank u big help!
Thank u so much
Im using ShepherdSurvives instructions to all my surviving ideas :)
DAT SCREWDRIVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
teach so easy i can do it alone
do you want a cookie
I have an odd question.. Does anyone know how to stop the material from stretching so much? Literally sinking while laying on it and touching the cross bars underneath.. The ones we had in the military had small extensions on the bars on each side so it would stretch out the material a tad bit more. Those were always tight and taunt. Not like the one I own now... Any thoughts?
Tyler Winton try wetting the canvas thoroughly, then using a blow dryer to shrink the fabric back up
I must be thick as two short planks because I needed this vid to disassemble ours... (wasn't there when it was put up and didn't realise it had detachable sections). Not bright. Thanks for the vid though, helpful for the stupid like me.
Thank you! I was able to set up the cot using your suggestions about stretching the fabric. I also sprayed it with water, first, based on a comment by playa2323, AND I used a small hammer handle (with a small piece of cardboard inserted between the handle and the frame) to protect the aluminum frame) as a lever as shown in the video. After the earlier frustration I experienced, including a tiny blood blister from where I caught my finger before I had your tips AND a chat with a Coleman representative (whose only advice was to return the cot to the store and buy one that wasn't so hard to set up!) I felt quite triumphant! I'm leaving it set up for the few days before my camping trip next week so I can continue to stretch it out here in the comfort of home. THANKS!!!
Thanks for the tip on the final segment of the cot assembly, I was kind of stumped on that. You can buy the large screwdriver at Sears, I have one, but I suppose a sturdy tent peg may also work. A woman named Christina told me if you wet the canvas fabric with water it will also help in the process. I am going camping tomorrow for a 6 nighter, I hope the cot will be better than a air mattress.
Thank you so much . This video helped me fix my problem with my Coleman cot. Their tech support was a waste of time.
ive got some made of wood :D oldschool cots right there
Nice to get some assurance that the typical aluminum cot can handle some leverage :) Thanks!
Sitting on mine watching this video
Where can u buy that massive screw driver!?
This was very helpful thanks. I am going to buy this model right now but the gentleman in the vid indicates that you have to be careful depending on your height as when he lies in it he appears too long for the hammock.
How mutch does one of these things weigh? Im 14 years old and want one for camping.
just over 17 pounds
Thanks for this video because I was TOTALLY at a lost on how to make the canopy higher...lol
Can i just omit the support bars?
u need that . it will collapse if missing
