This should’ve got a remake over Bowsers Inside Story. You could play it through backwards compatibility and everyone who played it said it was near perfect. PiT on the other hand had some more complaints. It’s my personal favorite (outside of brothers attacks being consumable items) and was more deserving of a remake.

Huh. I knew the name Bruce Shelley but I didn't realise he worked on both Civilization and Age of Empires. This man is an ubernerd and I love him for it. Quote (regarding the development of Railroad Tycoon): _"it was great to see Sid Meier figure out how to make a good game out of something as cool as railroading-not an easy task. The game had a fun economic model, cool trains running..."_ LOL. Trains are pretty cool though.

The inclusion of the day / night system and also the different classes / hirelings was insane. I HIGHLY recommend picking up the mobile versions. I spend my entire commute on the bus and my lunch hour every day playing those and I am about halfway through part 4 right now

DQ3 is just one of those games that's so good that people forget that it was even its own experience and such a leap forward in its own right; it's a game I've been enjoying because I like classic JRPGs myself

This is the first game I played where ammo and pickups were placed with logic, like from a downed enemy or a locker, and not just a floating power up.

When it was revealed that 3 was a prequel and not a sequel, you know it got it's GOAT status just like that.

I think it’s because of the uncertainty. Something that will never have the same strength again. Internet didn’t exist and information was scarce. Just to wonder how depth the game could be made you want to play and explore. Want to enjoy a game and make the game feel more memorable? Play without watching or reading anything about the game. Ark captured the nostalgia in me. Played thinking I made awesome discoveries while there was videos telling of the locations I thought they weren’t known and OP….500k people know where I am at
