    • @phil_hazzy
      @phil_hazzy Před 2 dny

      Not exactly sure how that one is put together but it could be more of a project than you might imagine. The sill would be simple enough to take out. The metal strip maybe held in by one of three methods; glue, clips, or plastic welded. If it's welded or glued in, a novel approach might be to use that plasti-dip paint to paint over the entire plastic sill, then clean off the aluminum strip and paint it. Once that's all dry, peel the dip off the rest of the part! Might save you some headaches from having to try to glue it back in place. If it's clipped in, the pull it apart and paint away.

    I’m in a predicament and I’m hoping that you can point me in the right direction. I bought a 2023 ZR2 over a year ago, and bought the kicker sub from the dealership at the same time. I decided not to install it because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of pulling all the wiring to swap it into my HD ZR2 When it arrived. I took delivery on my HD ZR2(24), and had the dealership install the system that I bought for my 23 1500 ZR2. It isn’t working. The dealership service department claims that the system isn’t for the 24 HD’s. So I decided to come to CZcams U and see if I couldn’t troubleshoot it myself, and lo and behold, it is the model without the dip switches. Am I SOL? If so, what’s a good alternative solution to get this rear floor decoration running? I can’t exchange it even though it’s brand new, because I bought it over a year ago.

      @@phil_hazzy to my knowledge, it is the same part number but I am gonna do a deeper dive into it as the dealership is claiming that they went as far as contacting Kicker and claimed that Kicker said that it isn’t compatible with my truck. All of the forums, all of the groups, and everywhere else that I’ve scrounged is saying that it’s universal to this generation of the Silverado, HD or not. As for power, it’s definitely receiving power as the lights you mentioned are definitely functioning. I’ll look into the fuses in the meantime. I’m getting to the point where I am contemplating going to an audio shop to have them troubleshoot it if I can’t figure it. I’m just trying to do as much homework as possible, but I’m hitting dead ends. I can’t be the only one who is dealing with this if what the dealership is saying is true.

Where I put this one is my favorite but there's a spot by the hood release that works too. Wiring can just stay behind the driver kick panel if you don't want to run under the carpet. Actually, at the top of latch on the top-left corner (of all 3 latches) you will see a little hook for releasing the seat back. Much easier to see and get to as opposed to nearly tearing the padding off of the frame while attempting to reach the spot shown in this vid. Pause at 3:08 and the hook is clearly visible. You're welcome 🙃 🙃*Pic with correct release point circled upon request*🙃

      I had the same liners in my last two trucks. Never had an issue with them as far as durability and I used a 3,000psi pressure washer on them regularly. • @phil_hazzy
      @phil_hazzy Před 3 měsíci

      Kicker did have a system that also added another amp for the rest of the speakers. That was a great system. Since they don't offer that one anymore I did add an Alpine amp for the other speakers and it sounds awesome now! The 200 Watts is plenty dedicated to the subwoofer. If you were close, I'd invite you over to take a listen!

    • @markmiller7426
      @markmiller7426 Před 3 měsíci

      If you have separates (a individual amp for low mid and highs) then great but if not you'll over power the factory setup and hear sub drowning you out. For the factory setup its a good match and plenty at least in the factory Bose setup..Bigger amp maybe for larger sub/lower response may give you more rumble as your human ear can only hear so low on the frequency scale but then your into the "where am I gonna fit this thing at"..Its a nice setup for a factory install and really sounds surprisingly deep. I used to do all the crazy shit $$$ now my hearing is going along with it all being old tech now..lol

    • @phil_hazzy
      @phil_hazzy Před 3 měsíci

      Hey there! If you've never removed anything like this, it can be scary. You can start with the plastic tools linked below that do a great job of protecting the paint. Basically just move the tool till you find the piece and use leverage to pull the clip out. After you've done a few of these, you can start to pull the trim piece by hand at one end and you'll feel where the clip is. Put some tension on the piece as best you can on both sides of where the clip is and then just give a good tug. The clip will release. When it's time to put it back on, align the clip and just use the palm of your hand to slap them back in! When I did it, I think I only had 3 or 4 clips break. www.harborfreight.com/nylon-pry-bar-installer-kit-4-piece-63594.html?campaignid=12169518939&adsetid=114845746057&product=63594&store=3129&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjLGyBhCYARIsAPqTz19sic-mzYoP3Z_CE0YBERgAmBi1wUJxCAnramilFso1uYzHb1kIeqIaAjglEALw_wcB
