How is this working on the bishops that move diagonally? It is illfound to break the commandblock chain, as each cell is not linked together.

this is really awesome! its amazing how programmable it is, so if you wanted to you could add pieces like the amazon or other unorthodox pieces really easily

you can get rid of the camera movement by putting the player in a minecart and detecting the wasd detection that way

it is very fascinating to see new creators in this field. You know, not a lot of people are curious enough to bend minecraft's vanilla boundries. I've seen just an incredible amount of very smart people who invented mapmaking techniques that were mind-boggling. Those techniques where eventually just ported by mojang in some form of datapack update. Like commands now can be used in functions, which is like a million times better. And those people were my pure amazement and cherish. They are truly the "heroes" who conquered minecraft's vanilla boundries and limits. Hope, you will show us something astonishing someday and much more ambitious. Not that the tetris isn't ambitious, but more of a step in a right direction. This is your achievement, and this achievement reveals big potential in my eyes. I really enjoy those time-to-time videos of yours where you share creativity and making process. This inspires me to continue working on my own projects. If you could, it would've been very nice to include more backstage scenes and thought process. Thank you

You could've count mines around tiles, instead of comparing each possible state. Let's say you have a tile. You make a marker entity. You check for 8 mines around that marker and each time it detects, you just add 1 to a scoreboard. Then based on that number you could change block colour using the exact marker entity. Don't worry, there could be around 100000 marker entities simultaneously, which is 100000 tiles accordingly

Couldn’t you have used the spreadplayers command for spreading 10 mines out randomly? I may be wrong but I think you can use it to spread armorstands out in a specific distance which I think is a square distance too not a circular radius.

maybe you should use spreadplayers to make random patterns. use this on some dummy platform and copy positions from it to the board maybe it will be simpler

Very nice! I made something similar a few years back. It is a multiplayer version called TETRABLOCK, it even has things like hard-drop, hold, wall-bounces and scoring system. But to be honest, the movement itself, collisions and rotations were by far the hardest and you got all that as well. Keep up the good work!

Amazing. There is a small inconsistency with the og game and that is when you clear a blank tile you also have to run the blank function for the corners too, not just orthogonally adjacent tiles. I like your new video style. Keep it up!
