Miep was so brave ❤❤❤❤❤,as were all the helpers.
Only recently did I look at 2 films about Anne
😢💔🙏🏼
Great video.
So sorry for misspelling your name Miep.
What love, & courage to you Dearest Meip, Jan & your young child. Of course this goes to the other few brave people who opened up their homes or attics to other Dearest Jewish people that had to go into hiding. Amen.
Such courage , such grace - the finest of human beings 🙏
does anyone know what year this was filmed?
wow thank you for posting this. incredible that she did this and we have it memorialized.
I have huge respect and admiration for Meip Gies and all the other helpers who went out of their ways, at times put their own lives in danger only to help hide successfully, the 8 occupants at the annexe for over two years!! Hats off to all of them !! RIP.
God bless them all. May they rest in peace. I read Anne’s diary but hearing Miep relate her experience took my memory to a new level of understanding.
Does anyone know where they filmed the furnished versions of the annex rooms that Miep visited? And I’m guessing that was a recreation of one of Dr. Pheffer’s letters that she read? Thanks in advance to anyone who may know.
A true angel.
Been to Auschwitz too, so sad
They were very brave to do what they did, it was so awful for Jewish people back in the day, I’ve got Anne franks book, and meips too, been to franks attic room twice, you can imagine what it was like ,bless them
Miep Gies was truly a wonderful woman. God rest her soul and of all the others who didn't make it.
I am sure GOD has Anne and her Family in a good place Amen and Amen
I saw this years ago but was glad when it popped up on CZcams today. I watched every second of it. It is amazing to see and hear Miep talking about everything that happened and being shown in the places where it all happened. I was lucky years ago to go first thing in the morning to the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. I understand the lines are long now, but that day my husband and I had the place to ourselves for the first few minutes, so I could quietly walk around and stand in those rooms I had read about so often since I got my copy of the diary at about age 12. Miep's book -- I assume this documentary was done around the same time? -- is very good. Well done.
Such courage, when most people just stood by. Miep Gies should always be remembered.
Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤🙏💯🐈⬛👰♀️
When I think about the seasons of fruit and vegetables in the 1960s and 70s in the USA you have to wonder the variety of foods available must have made meals very boring, despite the nature of the business. At least farmers and those in the country could grow things for themselves as long as they were not confiscated by the Germans. The restrictions had to be mentally mindboggling and stressing. What a time to be living. Then they had to experience the camps.
That’s some strong tape
Otto Frank moved his family to Amsterdam, never figuring the German reach would extend that far.
Deeply moving. Many thanks to all who helped jews and others during this horrible time. Dear Miep you helped more than you know
I can't believe this. We have to remember, *these were not ancient times;* theirs was a modern existence; suburbs, apartment buildings. modern conveyances - not so terribly different from today. It would be a mistake to think that the Holland of 1942 was anything but a few decades from today. These people had *lives.* It *infuriates me so,* to see how these gentle, peace-loving people were so fraught with fear and anxiety -terror - because of a bunch of greedy psychopaths in Berlin.
Anne, Margot,Peeter et Miep🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you Anna 🌹🌹♥️

Just started reading the diary of Anne Frank and already i have felt so emotional.. She was a beautiful, bright young girl who could have gone far if it wasn't for those dirty Nazi's!! To those who helped them well done but the dirty snake who ratted them out to get caught deserve to rot in hell.... R.I.P to all those innocent people who were killed, we will never forget you xxx
wear your STAR oh i mean your MASK.
none of this NAZI/HITLER shit could have happened without the useful idiot compliant sheep to go along with it and implement it. and all those that just try to get along and be tolerant are the sheep
Rip Meip /Jan gies ,Bep voskuji, Johannes Kliemen and victor kulger the brave ppl who helped the ppl in hiding Also rip to the franks, van pels and mr feiffer as well as all the ppl who lost there lives in the holocaust/ww2
No one knows who betrayed Anne Frank's family for sure....... But God knows. There is a very, special corner of hell reserved for that person. :^(
The best guess is the cleaning woman for the office building, Lena. The arresting officer said the voice was female.
Thank you for this upload ☺️
What a price Miep and the rest of the helpers paid…. Having such painful memories and after the war, having to revisit them time and again to let people know what happened.
🙏⚘❤Thank you for this VDO. The world thanks you Miep for your act of true love and bravery to the fellow human beings. 🙏💐May you and the others involved rest in eternal peace and in God's love.
Thank you. x
Meip your a legend xxx
She has said that she is not a hero, not special. She just did what any decent person would do. I think most of us would beg to differ. She absolutely was a hero. Every person that was a beacon of hope for the jewish people (or the Roma or any other group that was targeted by those subhumans) who had none during that horror was a hero. She went above and beyond. What she did was not merely "decent." It was extraordinary.
This women and her helpers were Angels and Heroes, like no one before them,ever!.G-d bless them for what they tried to do🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Miep Gies had zo een fijne rustige en duidelijke manier van praten.
May they all Rest in Peace
My birth name is Gies Always wondered if i was related to Miep
What a brave and selfless woman . Such an inspiring story!
Wow, this was wonderful. I feel like I've been in a trance, hanging on her every word, much like the Franks & company did upon her daily visits. What a beautiful, kind and brave woman
Yes, lessons for all, young and old.👏
Miep Gies is a true heroine. Her courage and kindness and empathy and deserves to be acknowledged.
“He looked at them, thrashed them against my face, and started to swear.” Jeez what an asshole that guy was. He calls the Jewish ‘scum’ and yet he think he’s any better?! 😠😤
it is rumored that the nazis were tipped off by a phone call from a dutch speaking women voice.
Thank you meip
