5 Moons multitrack recorder/looper is a great tool to quickly lay down some tracks. Here we're pairing it with the 201 Pocket Piano and Kaleidoloop. As tracks were recorded on to the 5 Moons, the Kaleidoloop sampled snippets from them and then we created new 5 Moons' tracks with the loops from the Kaleidoloop!

Is overdub possible without using internal mic and speaker? Can you overdub onto an existing loop by using 1/4” input jack? If this is possible, is each overdub saved as an individual audio file or it is all written to initial audio file?

If you don't know how to compose or play music - buy bleeping toys. Why do you cheat yourself? Just use AI to "create music".

Is using more technological instruments really cheating? This isn't a magic ai in a box, it's a box with parameters and functions that are featured in tons of different snyths that you gotta learn how to use. You also gotta have an ear for music to make good music. I think there is a reason that people with no talent turn into CZcamsrs that just show their gear and never put music out. They bought the gear thinking it's an ai box that's going to carry them sonically.

Thanks for watching! The 201 has a straightforward and fun interface so you can get a variety of sound from the synth immediately. In the setup shown in the video, installing three 'AA' batteries and then turning on the synth only takes a few moments.

This was one of their original devices. The 5 Moons is more of a mixer and looper, this is mainly a recording and looping/mangling device

Is there a way to switch between video synths using a single audio source and one screen?
Yes - you would need an audio mixer (or audio splitters) to send the same audio out to multiple video synths and then use a video mixer or video switcher to select the video.

Thanks for your interest! Most newer TVs (non-CRT), projectors (beamers), etc. have a composite input that auto-detects the signal format.

I can't figure out how to get it on my Organelle. I downloaded the zop file and put it in the USB drive. Reloaded the drive and the patch is nowhere... Please help!
Is the .zop file in the 'Patches' folder? That folder where the Organelle looks for those types of files. If you're still having trouble, please post to our forum (forum.critterandguitari.com) - it's where we typically handle this type of customer support.

OS 4.0 is the current version so you will probably need to update from v3.1 in order for KS Strings to work. Instructions for this are in the manual.

Yes, the earlier Organelles shipped with a 4GB microSD card. Later units shipped with an 8GB card.

It could be that you're running an older OS and the patch is expecting a newer OS. Please check that you're running the most recent OS for your Organelle model. Make a video amp. A pedal that you plug into a tv or computer monitor with speakers, that turns it into an amp for your guitar or keyboard and doubles as a video synth oscilloscope thingy. Or another one that lets you use an old tv as a sampler type thing.

i dont own organelle but videos popping on my feed ab different patches for it makes me everytime happy. its such imagination expanding and mind massaging to see how many different approaches you can have while making music. and whole organelle ecosystem is so calming that it makes me calm thinking about some day having one to play:)

What is needed is just the computer part, seems ridiculous to have to buy another organelle or pocket piano just to use an app such as this. Just make the computer bit, doesn't that make sense??
Hi, you don't need to buy a separate Organelle in order to use this patch. If you have an Organelle, you can load this patch (and any other patch) onto the Organelle. The Organelle can store many patches internally (on SD card) or on a connected USB flash drive. what cables do I need to have this setup?
For audio input into the Organelle, you'd need a guitar cable with a monophonic 1/4" plug. For audio out, you'd need headphones and/or a guitar cable with a monophonic 1/4" plug. To send MIDI from the Organelle to a MIDI device that has the classic 5-Pin port, you would need a TRS-MIDI adapter cable (Type 'A'). If you are connecting MIDI to a device with an 1/8" TRS-MIDI port, you would need a 1/8" stereo cable.
