They chose not to do this and instead to gender bend an existing character, it could be written perfectly and be fun, that is possible, but still when I see this all I see is the politics of the people who wrote this, people that more than likely want to see me dead, or that is what their twitter say, Im not risking my money for the possibility that maybe the creators are actually just eccentric and want to make references to cabarets (what? These streams were wearing on me more and more as the hyperbole increased and intelligent criticism decreased, but the naked greed became too apparent. Too many of these channels refused to talk about Ed Piskor because of fear of the stream being demonetized. If you want to make you living screaming about how toxic the entertainment industry is, and won't talk about an actual casualty because it won't profit you enough, you have sacrificed integrity and any authenticity.

My biggest issue with the people you refer to as “birthday party clowns” is that they miss the issues of what they are criticizing to focus on buzzwords. Shows like the Acolyte have actually serious plot issues, but instead of focusing on that let’s say “Lesbian Space Witches” for the 100th time. I also think there is more nuance to shows than is presented by many of these CZcamsrs. Two things can be true at once. Yes, it was dumb to gender swap the penguin and it would have been better to just make an original character, but that doesn’t mean that anything else the show does can’t be good. There should be a place online for media criticism, especially for media that (in my opinion) tarnishes previous creatives’ works, but these channels don’t offer criticism, only constant whining.

I enjoy this show just because its a little different. Between Batman, TMNT, and Spider-Man - these are IPs that've had so many different shows/versions that I try to welcome some change thats meant to deviate a current show from previous ones. Oswalda is just okay. Lets not pretend Penguin, in most Batman media, isn't usually shaken down for information by Batman anyway and rarely poses a physical threat to him. Hell, in Gotham he was made gay and had a fling with Riddler if I'm not mistaken. I thought the complaints about forced representation and inclusion were that the DEI characters were made to be Mary Sues that could constantly referenced or acknowledged their identity whether it be in the form of gender, sexuality, or race. So far, I haven't seen that yet in this show and people are still upset? Give it break. When you've produced so many versions of one character, its bound to be one iteration that tries to change things up a bit. Hell, I actually welcome the show's new version of Harley Quinn, especially since it throws her in a jester costume again, separates her from the Joker, and throws out the red-and-blue dyed pigtails made famous from the 2016 Suicide Squad film that had a totally different color scheme and aesthetic anyway.

I don't watch SWT. He has only ever entered my consciousness as the guy who disliked Andor because it had bricks in it, which he somehow viewed as a canon violation.

I may be missing out on some good shows, but I'm still going to give it a pass if I hear about genderswap, raceswap, or diversity before I even watch it. Too bad of a track record.

Superhéroes, at least Marvel and DC works better for me with the retrofuturism: 30s/40s for DC, 60s-80s for Marvel. Just like Transformers functions well in an 80 ish setting making an abrupt technological jump to the future

Gender bending characters is nothing new. I've done it before. It's only if the people who do this don't respect the characters in the first place and just do it to piss fans off. As opposed to people who do respect the characters and do the whole multiverse thing. It's all about respect. But there's always gonna be people who whine and complain. It's simple, you don't like it, don't watch it. Make your own shit. 😏

Well for a example. I saw the new TMNT movie and I got 2 things from it. 1. it wasn't made for me. It was made for kids. Was there anything I found entertaining in it maybe kinda. But wasn't a bad kids movie. 2. The hole "Gay Relationship" wasn't really a gay relationship an awesome made sense for the story. Also mini characters in the movie were changed in a way for certain reasons. Like Bebop and Rocksteady wasn't really bad guys. It's kind of like making content or Media or anger out of something that's kind of not there. Would I personally find interesting because when there is something to get mad about because a lot of these people aren't actually in the comic book or nerd hobby for say they kind of miss it because they don't aren't really as involved in it as they say they are and they spend more time complaining about stupid nonsense. Example for that. I remember the 9/11 Spider-Man Black cover. When Marvel decided to revisit the Spider-Man Black cover it was for the death of a Pakistani American Muslim.... That flew over everybody's head and nobody was aware of it because nobody's actually in the hobby. I found it to be very disgusting and I also spoke to my friend about it and he said likely a person that was younger than me if flew over their head and they decided to make that cover and didn't realize there was any reference between the two

If you're looking for a Jean Claude Van Damme movie, checkout "Legionnaire" its where he's a boxer on the run from a French mobster, and joins the Foreign Legion to get away from him. Its a good movie, the ending was a bit too open ended in my opinion.
