Iman is faith which is in the heart. Even the Nabi (pbuh) himself was touched by the evil eye at pne point as is well known and his iman was unmatached. The only protections from such things is actively *practicing* through reading Quran and making dhikr (remembrance) often and with intention and even reciting the specific duas +duas/surahs for ruqyah (protection). And Allah knows best. Having iman certainly helps with practicing intently but one can be disciplined enough to practice even at the points in one's life when their iman is in remission. That's the test from Allah.

I was raised Roman Catholic. My grandfather went to Syria from Scotland and met my grandmother he was Catholic he married her they had children in Syria then they moved to Scotland had one child so at that time they have four then they moved to the US and had my mom and my aunt which is six kids. My grandmother converted from Islam to catholicism. She eventually went back to Islam and died a Muslim. My dad's mom was from Sudan and his dad was from him and so they are muslim. But I was raised Catholic. I can tell you every single thing I read in the Quran filled all of the gaps that I had from being catholic. I didn't have to wonder anymore I didn't have to assume things things weren't taken out and then put back in there was no knowledge hidden the Quran answered all of my questions and more. I am not a Muslim my family is so happy that I reverted to Islam. And I can 100% tell you that it was the best thing I ever did.
