I just got the ice fishing GX2 rod and the Dock runner I don't see the difference between the two so I went and got a GX2 medium power rod 5'10" is my favorite on so far. The carbon rod brake the tips off to easy I don't say that's a winner for me. Strong like the GX2 my friend was not happy with that one.

Your way wrong bro , one you have to adjust the sensitivity according to your weight and current , mine works everytime , when targeting bigger fish done run loose drag run the drag so when you pull on the line the line feeds out without the rod coming off the ground ,keep sensitivity set about 1/4 from highest sensitivity. Also take the current into consideration when setting the sensitivity water does tug on the line a bit

In SoCal fishing 2021 they made it they made it legal for any amount of fishing hooks on a sabiki rig if there is no regulations and in SoCal we have no regulations it's overly up in San Francisco Bay area you're only allowed to use three hooks on a sabiki rig misinformation do your own research

In SoCal you can use 6 hook sabiki rig only in San Francisco Bay you're only allowed three but in SoCal were allowed to use six do your research I did mine

I just got a GX2 from Cabela's and it has a UGLY Stick GX2 size 50 reel not Shakespeare reel or say it on the Pole. And got a Ugly tuff reel size 40 like the reel. Can't complain about heavy ness if the other reels are not all Aluminum and the strongest reel I use in years. Is not a toy at all the Ugly tuff 40 reel I don't like the reverse I'll glue it so it does move in reverse. What is it for .... Don't need it for nothing.

Your opinion on theCarbon's balance sure differs from my own observations when fishing this model. I found my 7ft. 3 in blank to be noticeable tip heavy.

I have tried lots of bags I have a 10 + and use 3 I have a back pack (£8 in ASDA uk Walmart US Ozark trail)cooler perfect for chilled baits drinks and holds tackle boxes etc I tried to use elastic bands to keep rods together but found it very awkward and would get to the bank and get tangled and cut them they are too big but I found the small hair ties are perfect size and I can get bags of 120 £1 I often use a bucket for Bait rod rests and tackle I have a chair with back straps but used to sit on bucket I have had so mnaytackle boxes tool boxes I have found a group of small zip pouches Os small cliplock boxes give me the ability to carry less tackle and stay more organised on the bank hope this helps

I really like Ugly Stiks, but carbon model was a disappointment. The big problem is the guides. One guides epoxy coating didn't cover all of the thread. The second eye also had a poor coating. I actually mixed up some epoxy and recoated the eyes.

I’ve accidentally hooked catfish and huge carp on mine and it handled flawlessly! Had one pulling me around the pond on my yak! Straightened out the hook! I LOVE THESE RODS!

I have the ugly stick GX 2 medium havey spinning rod with a 5000 spinning reel and I don't get tiered on holding it I love my ugly stick spinning rod

When they make a 9' 2piece MH carbon spinning rod, maybe I'LL BUY ONE.

Also, you can help prevent stretches by using car wax. .

The GX2 has always had a one piece polished guide.

ugly tuff reels are 💩 , look cool but super heavy , bugger all line capacity , can't change the handle knob without buying a gomexus power handle and the coating on the spool is so slippery it's a pain to even spool mono on

I bought the carbon 6'6" combo when it came out a couple years back, it came with the Abu Garcia black max real, the real is ok, but the rod is excellent for the money. I gave my gx2 away after fishing with my carbon a few times, I never paid attention to how heavy and clunky the gx2s are until I got the carbon.
