Upstate NY: Fillmore Glen State Park - Gorge Hike
Fillmore Glen State Park is a picturesque natural area located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, near the village of Moravia.
Scenic Gorges and Waterfalls: The park is known for its stunning glacially-carved gorges and multiple waterfalls. These gorges are adorned with lush greenery and moss-covered rock formations, creating a serene and picturesque landscape.
Hiking Trails: Fillmore Glen offers several hiking trails that wind through the park, ranging from easy walks to more challenging hikes. The trails take visitors past waterfalls, through forests, and along streams, providing ample opportunities to enjoy nature and wildlife.

I went yesterday but some pave way broke and it rained heavily. I did not see the falls.
So beautiful video! We are going September 21st! I would like to ask something! How did you manage with ticks? Did you have any problem? And about shoes and clothes, is waterproof enought or goretex is a must? Thanks!!!
Thanks, have fun! We had no tick issues in October when we went. We were mainly on marked trails. Gore-tex/waterproof layers/boots are defintely helpful. We had rain almost every day we were there.

Yep, off and on rain showers almost the entire trip. One really sunny day for one of the hikes we did near Aviemore.

Love this! Many people bag the peaks, but we prefer the lakes. Wife and I have been canoe camping for years. Little Tupper campout was a date before we got married. Another fave is Cedar River Flow. We have a royalex canoe, too...a Mad River Explorer.
Thanks! And yes, so nice to be out on the water. Cedar River Flow is a great spot as well. We've been meaning to get back there at some point. So many wonderful places to explore.

"Nice views", is an understatement. You had one of the clearest daysI have seen in any video. Beautiful. I did that loop wot some older boys (I was the counselor) in 1968 but we included Gothics to start with. Over your left shulder on Saddleback and Basim is the MacIntyre range-Wright, Algonqujin, Boundary, Iroquois. The view from Haystack is spectacular but so is Algonquin. Hoped you climbed it

Fall is an ideal time to visit - it's much quieter and the colors are just breathtaking.
As a teen I was part of a trail maintenance volunteer crew who put in one of the stone staircases on this trail. I was just telling my children about it and looking if there were any photos, when I found this video. Thanks for putting this together. It’s as beautiful as I remember. Hope to get back there someday
I grew up skiing here in the ‘70’s. Loved it. Learning on bunny hill of course. Thought i was so cool doing night skiing lol

Have a great trip! Most of it was filmed on a Canon R6 (amzn.to/3skgQ3A). For layers, mostly a fleece/mid-layer and a shell/rain jacket to block wind/rain.

We should be coming out with a blog article at some point that'll detail this on our website. Rougly we did a clockwise loop to Fort William, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Aviemore, Edinburgh and St. Andrews.
