Such an amazing game that I was able to grow up with. For some reason, listening to video game OST's when I'm practicing on something or studying in my own time has always been my favorite go to idea instead of my regular music. I have realllyyyy bad nostalgia issues though so of course when I want to listen to certain video games such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart Wii and Terraria, it will sometimes distract me and take me out of my focused state and throw me into this endless loop of my old memories playing these games. Any OST from the Wii games are just fucking spectacular. The music really makes it feel as if you are in a whole new world, especially one where you are in space fighting evil monsters to fuel your damn ship to then travel to different Galaxies! lol. OH well. Fucking adore these OST's man.

This game! Its music brings out a feeling of nostalgia, even on those who have never played it! I truly think there will never be another Mario game as good as this one.

Can you love a game that you've never played before? I sadly didn't get the chance to play SMG as a kid, but I've listened to this music over a thousand times, and it's just made me fall in love with the game so much. I wish I could've experienced what so many others did.

Under normal circumstances, I’d say this music doesn’t fit Mario’s lighthearted, goofy vibe at all, but combining it with the backdrop of space just makes it work so well. Having quieter, subdued music mixed in with Mario’s usual fare works so well with an outer space setting, and the orchestra also works brilliantly as well. It encapsulates the wonder and beauty of the infinite expanse of stars incredibly well.

Hello This is an old playlist and i don't expect anyone to come by and see this comment, but i just want to say all the unsaid things here. This playlist is so beautiful. It carries the innocence of my childhood, before everything happened and i lost myself. This playlist was like an anchor for me, and sums up the perfect little happiness of that time, where i would lose myself in the sunrise, chocolate ice cream, praise for my amazing grades, sunshine, videogames, daydreams, and my imaginary world i used to visit through my diary. Now i've lost myself, and i don't know how to get back, but this brings me a small sense of familiarity, at least, Thank you.

I don't mean to make anyone sad. Today is 1 year since my amazing grandmother passed away. I used to play all three mario galaxy games at her house. She really opened up a universe of opportunity for me. I miss her.

I absolutely adore Super Mario Oddyssey and for me it captures a lot of the things that made the Galaxy games so amazing. But somehow the one thing it couldn't grasp from those games is the charm. Something about Super mario Galaxy's feel and atmosphere makes it better than all of the other Mario games in my opinion.

Nobody will probably ever see this comment, but in my opinion the Mario Galaxy Era of Video Games was the best to ever exist. Within 3 years of that game, we got Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Terraria, Mario Galaxy 2, and a few other lasting games. All those games are still widely popular today. I grew up on Popularmmos, DanTDM, and my Wii for the first 10+ years of my life. Nowadays kids play Fortnite and watch awful content on CZcams. It's truly sad.

I played mario galaxy for the first time when it was released in Mario 3D All Stars. It felt like I was a kid again and that feeling is ignited by the amazing music

Hmm… I think that they should use this music somewhere in the movie sequel to “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” called “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”, due to Lumalee appearing in the final trailer, and playing Galaxy music in the first animated Mario Movie (2023) cast revealing the plot. It sounds so beautiful! 🌌

this game came out the year before I was born so I wasn't ever really playing it in the first 3 years or so but my brothers were and thanks to them I got to experience the beauty of this game. hearing the music and thinking back to little me shaking the Wii remote to jump and grab coins. running around Rosalina's place, swaying back and forth to the music, and having a big old grin on my face makes me miss it. I still have my Wii and Wii U and all the silly games I used to play. I'm so thankful I got to experience games like this even tho lots were released before and after I was born. These childhood experiences really shaped the girl I am today. never will I forget the feeling of each game. I love my brothers and parents for letting me have a childhood like this.
