The famous song composed by the Russian composer Boris Fomin (1900-48). The original is titled "Dorogoy dljinoj" which could be translated like "Along a Long Road". Very gypsy like melody.

I believe Johnny and this album particularly was responsible for a huge resurgence in interest in the blues and all the old blues guys. He was the best promoter the blues had. 4 years after this album release I saw Johnny with Muddy Waters at Chicagofest. When he walked out halfway into Muddy's set, the crowd went nuts.

I fucking love this album like the water loves the sun.
