You want to use something to tap it from the top face from opposite side to break the oring seal ..i just use long pieces of wood.

For brother..my next step is to check it the timing is off..or even the module could be faulty/shorten to ground..if these checks ok..then forsure topend coming off...never pulled HD topend so hoping its can be done easily without pulling the motor.

Yes..you should be able to ...i find the smallest wire perfect for cleaning idle jets is from wire brushes just pull one strand from the brush.

Cant recall exactly but the puller is a harmonic puller it came with all sorts of sizes of bolts

Thanks for feedback but we didn't fabricate this frame..it was brought to us for complete re wiring. Quad has being sold.

That would of being next step in this build as better topend and back pressure increases but this beast had being sold as is since then.

Believe this quad hit a topend rebuild as its needs it anyway..thats piston ring, bee timing chain and tensioner...these quad is also know to have this type of noisy issues.

I may be dealing with the same thing on my 04. Any progress on that? The starter is new, but when I hit the starter button it just sounds like the engine is locked up but it isn't. Is that what's going on with yours?

Check for proper mounting grounds to the coils i believe there's also ground wire from one of the coil going to the chassis as well.

These early sportsman has pre mature wearing of the exhaust lobe ..if memory serves me. Thats the last thing you'd want cuasing low compression...so aside from the regular suspect rings, piston, cylinder valves clearance..see what your lobes look like.

Could internal issue with your shift mechanism..that means pulling the motor ..at very least first double check the shift linkage adjustments are properly adjusted.

Its being awhile but hoses like that on usually would be for overflow

Hi..our BF750 NEEDLE BEARING GEAR was laying in bottom of case . Your shift for maybe worn or bent.

Did get to take it on trail..too many things going on ..that motor now dropped in a my 2008 joyner Buggy almost complete for the summer

Spark isn't a issue with is buggy..i am guessing your having spark issues?

I know just how you feel..mine was stuck too first time i tried driving..typical after sitting awhile..but easy fix man

Check your timing chain automatic tensioners..could be chain stretched

I believe exhaust valve is the issue

Well a quick way to confirm non of your safety switches are the issue for no spark ..just remove the BLK/WH Wire from the CDI connector

Timing chain

It a reverse gearbox from a 96 or 98 polaris trailboss

They have reverse gearboxes for the 40 and 780 series torque converters now! I own both the little 30 series one and the it's new big brother one both from blastled.com

This repair turns out to be bad stator.

Ya if i recall that was the fix in this situation l..replacing the stator.. I think something to do with intermittently spark after the motor warming up
