Even though it's over we all keep repeating this edits to atleast remind ourselves that were not alone in the World with the pain their are alot of people who are still suffering

I remember how I only found this video when I was little and was struggling when I was 11 (family issues), I am 16 now, and this video causes the same goosebumps as it did before. I can't believe still that the show has ended.This video is very dear to me, thank you.

Rose did love Pearl like how Pearl loved her, but there were things that couldn't be understood or fixed because Rose couldn’t see it and Pearl thought she wasn't worthy enough to bring it up. Rose didn’t make her feel like nothing, she was already feeling like that. Rose just gave her her first awakening to her own desires. Just my thoughts

i used to think that pearl was always somewhat an overrreactor as a child, but when i saw 'a single pale rose', i finally understood, and now this vid has me crying;-;

I always feel like Pearl has a vhs tape of Rose. In her consciousness, the vhs tape is all static. With mellow skies and her and rose dancing in the sunset on the beach. But the tape will freeze because it never happened. Pearl would sit there and stare at the tape. And act like Rose is still there.

Deep down, Steven always knew.

To be honest, I like to think that Rose liked Pearl but couldn't get herself to like her romantically. Pearl put her on a pedestal, treated her like she was this perfect creature, when really, Rose, or should I say Pink, knew deep inside that there were a lot of things that Pearl didn't know about her (specifically Volleyball). Considering that Pink also loved Volleyball before, she must have had a lot of guilt and there is no way that whenever she looked at Pearl, she didn't see her old pearl and remember what she'd done--it explains why Pink started to try to change for the better. In addition, Pink probably knows that Pearls are made to be attracted/attached to their owners and knowing that she is Pearl's owner in homeworld terms, she must have seen Pearl's loyalty as something she was made to do, which must have been uncomfortable because Pink is the leader of a rebellion against this fixed system, and she must have questioned deep inside if Pearl was truly doing this because she chose it for herself or if it's because she feels it is something she has to do as Pink's pearl. But idk really, among all the characters of SU, Pink/Rose was one of the most realistic person to me.

I just finished watching the whole series with my daughter, and at first Pearl was my least favorite of the Crystal Gems, but by the end she was my favorite of all the gems. I love her so much. She is such a deep character

To the people who say pearl was white diamonds, she wasnt. The pearl that was originally pink diamonds pearl was yes, handed to white, however to make up for it white diamond, who owned the reef that oversaw the creation of peals created a default pearl (the pearl we know and love, hence the gem placement and color) and gave it to pink diamond as a replacement

Even if she hurted Pearl so much, I believe Rose knew her death would only give Pearl her full freedom of Pink Diamond

"what do you know? you've never even met her!" and it's true. nobody knew rose. not the way pearl did.

How pearl felt about rose was never about loyalty, it was about obsession because that was literally how she was created. Made with the sole purpose to serve pink diamond and nothing more. I mean we see how other pearls behave and act for the person they were originally created for. This only got worse as they grew closer with rose trusting and relying on her in ways she hadn’t and couldn’t with others, specifically all the things going on with the war. it grew to an unhealthy point that even garnet pointed it out in the episode pearl was teaching connie how to use a sword. I personally only see pearl finally beginning to grow past her obsession in the sequel; SU the future (or at least recognize that she never was as independent as she seemed to be as a rebel). My point is let’s not put this in a light that makes it seem positive. Pearl was only hurting herself with this behavior when it got so extreme

It’s not your fault pearl she did what she wanted after all … and that was lie … manipulate sabotage and send hundreds if not thousands of gems to fight each other just so she could laze about and bang humans

1:38 I never understood how Pearl did a split on that thin glass railing. Like I get all the other dance moves, they can be explained by just how intensely balanced and graceful she is. But that split makes no sense.

i hear this a lot and i dont really understand how anyone could hate pearl. she's been through so much dude. from serving her diamond and the powerful authority to going against white, yellow, and blue. she was the one who gave pink the idea of going to earth. she must have been so scared to leave everything she ever knew behind, but she did it for rose. she did it because she loved her. and a part of her knew nothing could ever come from it. pink was a diamond and she was a pearl. she sacrificed so much out of love, and accepted the fact that pink didnt and would never feel the same. she had to "kill" pink diamond, which is traumatic on its own, and escape homeworld to stay on earth with rose. thats a death wish in itself. she was fast to take the fault, even when it wasnt hers. fast forward years and pink diamond falls in love with a human on the planet pearl suggest they explore. even though pearl was sour to greg, she had to silently watch from the sidelines so rose could be happy with him. she never could do anything drastic to him, because it would make pink upset. she played a major role in raising Steven, even though she resented his father for a while. she had to live with the guilt of never acting on love, while raising the child of the one she lost. she's always been so quick to defend pink or Steven, even though she was inferior, and she knew it too. she was her entire reason for living. pearl was willing to drop dead on the spot for pink, like she says in "Do it for her." she feels like the other crystal gems cant understand her, and on a certain level, they cant. they were all close with pink, but pearl knew her way before they did. all of they crystal gems have their own quarrels between themselves, the diamonds, homeworld, or even each other. but pearls ENTIRE personality was centered around pink at one point or another. they all were close, but pearl LIVED for pink. and its not the closeness between pink and her. its the fact that PEARL felt like her and pink were close. PEARL was willing to die for pink. PEARL was the one who had to carry all this trauma and regret and grief for YEARS. pink saw it as a game. she cared about pearl, of course, but her feelings werent as NEARLY intense as pearls were. pearl got so attached to someone who didnt take it seriously, and she was so blinded by her love that the logical part of her couldnt see that pink didnt feel the same. and we're not even getting into the harsh conditions of homeworld, the millions of gems she saw die in battle, and the betrayal of secrets STILL being kept from her after all shes done. this isnt even the half of it. despite all of this, shes so strong. so brave. people constantly throw hate on her, and it doesnt make sense at all. yeah, shes a little rough around the edges, but she has every right to be after everything shes gone through. she has the same amount of trauma as steven does, maybe more. she's a truly inspiring character who learned to deal with great loss, fear, betrayal, hatred and resentment, while learning to live for herself.

I’m only happy that Rose is gone and “turned” into Steven because now there’s someone who truly reciprocated Pearl’s love (even though platonically) and she doesn’t have to be in a one-sided (platonically) relationship.
