I can only speak for myself, but what really has brought me out so many times to see Zoso... Has been the live renditions including near note for note replication of the LedZep live improv and extended solos. I'm looking forward to checking them out again, now with James , this coming weekend! Don't let me down,JAMES🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

@@jamesvolperotondi4294 hey. Yes, we met last night. I was in the front row with my wife and friend, first set.. They we're toast. Lol. We had a short chat and I complimented your play. The set was a few songs shorter than usual. That Lexington theatre is a great venue for sound, as I love it loud n clear. The part I don't like is the sitting crowds every time. Pretty lame to sit through the greatest music ever. I think your on top of it,man. I will see you again at the Emerald theatre, Mt.Clemens Mi... I think November. That crowd will be much better. @@dominicscharret4288 so glad you enjoyed it, man, and that we got to chat. as you can hear, my approach is to nail the studio solos pretty much as recorded, incl. ghost notes, and of course hardcore tone crafting a la JP, incl. using specific plate or spring reverbs, slapback delay, and JP’s distinctive Les Paul pickup blend; ditto for the more compact live solos. For those longer improvised long solos, though, I like to preserve a bit of the spontaneous magic that made them great to begin with. I’ll typically nail the opening and closing 16 bars as close to TSRTS (or BBC, West, etc) as possible, but in between I prefer to follow JP’s “roadmap” and his main motifs, if you will, rather than exclusively play the exact licks, though I incorporate those, too. JP was very positional about his play, and I’ll typically go to those positions and those raw materials (D Dorian mode originating at the 10th fret, for example, in “No Quarter”; F# Phyrgian mixed w Dim on BBC “Immigrant”) and keep the phrasing and attack in the JP wheelhouse, working off JP’s licks and figures as motifs to wring even more ideas from. (John Mayer takes a similar approach to Garcia in Dead & Co, and it’s also how I approached Frampton’s longer solos during my 3 years playing with Humble Pie recently.) Hope that’s not too much guitar geekery for ya! Thanks for saying hello the other night, and yes, see you in November, bruv…! 🙏 JVR
