  • @klouddsurferful
    @klouddsurferful Před 18 dny

    Certainly, gender is a tangible concept that corresponds to one's biological sex. It is perplexing that some individuals attempt to dismiss the significance of sex anatomy. While acknowledging the reality of gender, it would be simplistic to assume that testosterone is the sole factor contributing to the advantage of male athletes over female athletes. If this were the case, transgender men would have a competitive chance in the men's category, which is evidently not the case. The reasons for this disparity are well-known. Furthermore, the hormone requirements for transgender women seem arbitrary. It is unclear how they are expected to determine the precise dosage that would enable them to achieve a specific ranking, such as fourth place, in order to maintain fairness. Additionally, it is reasonable to assume that transgender women, like any other athlete, aspire to excel and win. Therefore, it is questionable why they would intentionally limit their potential by adhering to such restrictions. Overall, the progressive arguments in the great modern day transgender debate lack logical coherence from my perspective.

    The real reason they define "misgendering" (stating objective reality) as an act of violence is because their world view is against objective reality and thus is extremely vulnerable to being exposed as such. Therefor, they redefine legitimate criticism as violence so they can shut it down before it can expose the lie as though they were preventing a physical attack.

    Wow... it's amazing how someone can use what I'm assuming they consider "intelligent arguments" to argue for something completely unintelligent and immoral, not to mention just factually and provably WRONG. I could go on for days, but let me just point out this one major defect in your argument: strawman. Period. To use phrases like "NOBODY transitions to...(fill in the blank)" is just ridiculous. It's a false premise, just like the opposite would be so. Nobody (at least nobody with the sense God gave a hamster) is arguing that every single "trans" person is "transitioning" to gain any kind of upper hand...be it in sports, or any other way. But anybody who can't at least acknowledge that there's some type of social contagion and "fad" to being considered/labeled trans isn't worthy of the time and breath it takes to attempt an intelligent conversation with. At least on social media and in the "woke" leftist world. The reason I put "trans/ition" in quotes is exactly because there's a lot of "trans face" happening in our world today and we, on both sides of the aisle, should be in agreement that it should be stopped bc it hurts the REAL trans population more than anything else! Common sense, not so common anymore. 🤦🏻‍♀️ When it comes to the "hot button" issues like bathrooms and sports, it's really simple...historically we have NEVER catered to the tiny minority, but instead, the VAST majority. They are attempting to erase and "replace" women, and that's ridiculous and FAR from ok. For example, language...which you love to discuss...when culturally language changes naturally, over time, people tend to at least tolerate these changes...when these changes are forced down people's throats and by threats and force, even if they're accepted publicly by some, they're privately hated by most. "Birthing person, chest feeding, etc"...oh hell no. As a mother, I'm officially pissed off. It's all ludicrous. So far as these sick people's agendas go, it's like this...nobody thinks every single trans person in the opposite restroom is a predator, the same for sports, but we have seen actual evidence that there are at least SOME that ARE predators...and if it's even one, it's too many and we need to fix it. It's not the fact that it's every case, it's the fact that a single case shows us the merit of our fears and concerns. ONE IS TOO MANY.

You can't change your chromosomes. Sorry I will not call someone who is female biologically a male and vice versa. You can't change your sex. They always tell you that you should accept them as they feel or see themselves. @@wishiwascycling 1) I use "dude" as a neutral term to briefly adress basically anyone, regardless of sx...is a common way of talking in the anglosphere as far as I understand...also, see 2). 2) I predicted that someone would have corrected me for my use of the "he" in this case (and half an hour later the prediction obviously came true...because. "the internet") :DDD I tell you what my policy is, and always was, regarding pronouns: I use pronouns as MY BRAIN tells me...I dont follow demands/commands of others, I also dont try to "be polite" at all, but I also am not an absolutist that tries to use the biological pronouns 100% of the time, if it doesnt come natural to me and my brain. In this case specifically the dude has a good appearance as a "man" so my brain naturally uses the "he" pronoun for him...same thing I do for other T-gender ppl around the internet (for example I use "she" for Blair White). But in the case for example of "Lia" Thomas (speaking of other T-swimmers) I would use the "he"...cause he is clearly not passing at all, so my perception of him still remains attached to his biological sx...and so does my language, accordingly... That's it...this is what I do...you can do differently, is your prerogative, totally understandable...

      @LucyOLastic Před 20 dny

      Gender refers to the traits and characteristics of male and female. It is one step removed only from biological sex. You are better off asking questions like whether they stem from nature or nurture, which is the usual. Some say it's just personality, but these are the things that are in our programming, either by nature or how we are taught or brought up. Anyone can have a disposition. Trans means taking on the characteristics of the opposite sex and adopting those traits associated with it. Gender is not tangible, it is not a part of the human body, but it is nonetheless a real part of being human. Honestly, we aren't just bits of Meccano put together on a production line, bought in a supermarket.

    You don’t need to be a threat to be uninvited to someone’s home or private space. The difference between Michael Phelps and other athletes will be present in all trans athletes and cis athletes. Despite the small number of trans athletes, records are being broken. Imagine if they were as numerous as cis female athletes.
