Although I agree that when you commit the crime, you should serve the time. But to say that he should be disqualified from preaching due to sin that he repented of years ago, goes against the gospel. Jesus came for us for these exact things. We’re no better than him because we’re simply all sinners. Yes, what he did was vile and disgusting, but after one repents (turn from their ways) the Bible says that He forgives our sins and remembers them no more (Hebrews 10:14-18). Literally, Paul persecuted Christians, he repented and God used him to write 2/3 of the New Testament and preach the gospel. David was king and served God since he was a small boy, yet he committed adultery and murder, but he repented and God still used him. Pastor Robert Morris is no different from those people. You know why? It’s the gospel of Jesus! He has repented and turned from his ways. We see that through his blessed life. Stop idolizing people and focus on Jesus. Stop seeing yourself better than someone else because you haven’t committed the same sin. You, as well as many others who believe he shouldn’t preach the good news, are showing partiality. (Read James 2) I think it’s a good chapter that everyone should read right now. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” (John 8:7-11)
