Ezgo went with a 150cc GY6 clone Chinese engine made by kymco. They are decent engines internally, but leave much to be desired on the overall performance aspect. When loaded down, hills will be your biggest struggle. The GY6 clones have been in Chinese scooters for years. Ezgo modified a few things for a golf cart application, but it’s definitely nothing new.

This is crazy,... No need to do a jump wire.... all you have do is use that Volt meter on the battery... at full throttle will put out 14.5 volts... Also if you get 16 Volts ir higher Also it's a bad Regulator... If it voltage doesn't change at full throttle then you know its the voltage Regulator...

Did I miss some vital information here.??? I did not hear him once saying what the tire pressue generally needed = say pounds per sq/inch (or BAR) for tyres on such as the golf buggy shown here. He coul have given the tyre size on that buggy an the typial golf pressure required front an back for typical loadings - say 1 or 2 golfers being carryied and 1/2 sets of typical golf clubs, NICE Gentleman but Sonny boy in background should have tutore him with usefull information.

Not a scam; he does assume you'd know to select a range on your DVM that covers your max battery voltage, that's all. Select 12V or higher and you'd be fine for either 6V or 8V cart batteries. It's DC, of course, not AC, since there's no such thing as an AC battery. Charging and then checking specific-gravity is basic SOP, as he describes. In my case, that same cheesy hydrometer's paper scale fell off long ago, so I'd no idea what the scale was anymore - I think I'd buy a different model next time.

The batteries are fastened down so when you go over bumps they don't tip over and/or slide out of position. A little vibration is actually good for them cuz it helps prevent stratification. Why do you think they have battery shakers?

Your statement at 2:00 is wrong. If I put six 12V batteries in there and wired them up for 36V and the 12V batteries are 105Ah each and the 6V batteries are 210Ah each, then those 2 systems at 36V should be nearly identical in performance assuming all of those 12 batteries are of similar health.

what about a 12 volt marine battery? I know I can get my 36 volts but what if the amperage was the same or greater than the 6 volt batteries amperage?
